After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 74- Miyuki is angry

“I have patched your head and have prescribed some medicine which you need to take for the rest of the month. If you feel dizzy and nauseous go to a hospital rather than trying to fight it with coffee.”

Hearing the infirmary nurse’s advice, which sounded more like scolding, Yuichi nodded.

“I will go to the Principal’s office so don’t leave, okay?” Yuichi nodded again before the middle-aged woman walked out.

Kaori, along with three more people were standing inside the infirmary.

The ones who had tears staining their faces were Minami and Kaori. While Hiroto and Satomi stood aside and looked at Yuichi with varying looks.

“Yu-kun, you don’t feel discomfort anywhere right? I have a family doctor who will come immediately if I call him.” Kaori, in a sobbing voice, asked.

“It’s okay, Kaori. I don’t feel uncomfortable nor is there any pain now.” Yuichi has suffered far greater injuries than this small wound. If Kaori heard about any of those he has suffered from, she might even faint.

“But why did they hit you, anyways? Don’t they fear getting expelled?” Satomi asked in a casual tone.

Unlike her sister, Satomi wasn’t so fond of Yuichi to get all emotional. Although she felt bad for Yuichi, she has yet to weep a single tear.

Minami’s expression hardened as she uttered in a cold tone, “I would make sure none of them remains in this school. If the Principal doesn’t do anything I will-”

“Minami.” Hearing Yuichi’s reproachful voice, Minami shuddered and looked at him with her eyes turned droopy.

“You won’t do anything to them. They are just hot-blooded teenagers who can’t accept defeat.” Yuichi softened his voice but kept his stance clear. He would have dealt with them, then and there if he really wanted to. However, they weren’t worth the trouble.

“But what if they attack again?” Kaori asked; her voice trembling more than ever.

Minami also feared the same thing but she didn’t voice it—knowing well how she would even utter the reason why Yuichi was targeted in the first place. Kaori wouldn’t like that.

In response, Yuichi smirked and while glancing at Hiroto he said, “Don’t worry about that. Hiroto will back me up if that happens.”

“Yeah, dream on. I ain’t gonna put myself at risk to protect you, again.”

Just after he said that Minami and Kaori both looked at Hiroto with their eyes turning moist and those faces turning more pitiful than an abandoned puppy.

But being immune to charm, Hiroto shrugged and crossed his arms on his chest.

Yuichi completely ignored what Hiroto said and continued, “With Hiroto here, I know I won’t get seriously injured. And if you two really are concerned then stick close to me in school. I will rely on you both.”

Hiroto had a great urge to roll his eyes at the flirtatious bastard. Despite having a white bandage wrapped around his head, Yuichi hadn’t shed a single protagonist scale.

Born ladies blushed at the remark and while holding his hand, they nodded meekly.

“Oh lord…” Satomi sighed and did what Hiroto wanted to—rolled her eyes at the cringefest.

It was then, that Satomi’s phone rang.

She walked out of the infirmary to take the call and when she returned, her face was deathly pale.

[Hiroto’s POV:]

I didn’t stay there for long and walked out of the school. I knew what the matter was and since I didn’t have to do anything in this arc, I didn’t show much interest.

Satomi’s father has been caught ‘cheating’ on his wife and now the drama will unfold.

Yuichi would later investigate the matter and before they end up divorcing, he would unravel the whole truth. The end.

Outside the school building, a black Mercedes was waiting for me, and I felt guilty for making the girl inside the car wait.

“Sorry for the delay.” As I climbed inside the car I found Miyuki putting down the phone.

I faintly heard the noise from the background of the video she was watching and it became clear to me, what it was.

“You recorded the whole game?” I asked her with a tinge of disbelief.

Miyuki slowly nodded with a shy smile,

“I couldn’t have missed a single shot so I decided to record it. Now, I will watch the clip in the home theater.”

….okay, that made me a little embarrassed.

“You don’t need to be so obsessed with that video…it wasn’t something great. ” I spoke with my voice a little softer than I generally speak.

Miyuki raised her brows in surprise with a grin extending her lips, “Are you being shy?”

I turned my face away from my Hime who sometimes can be pretty mean.

Miyuki clung to my arm and tried to peek at my face which must be looking weird at the moment.

She suddenly extended her camera and tried to take a selfie—only to yelp in surprise as I snatched the phone away.

Turning toward her, I narrowed my eyes, “You have a pretty consistent habit of taking pictures, huh.”

I unlocked the phone with my fingerprint swiftly and dove into her gallery,

“Ah! Don’t! Give me!” She tried to snatch the phone away, but it was too late

….I was left speechless.

All those pictures, as far as I could see, were focused on a single person.

Me.

And most of them were candid. All those times when I thought that I woke up before her (after we spent the night doing it), in actuality, Miyuki gets up way before me and takes a lot of my sleeping pictures. She has even taken pictures of my feet and fingers as if she studies me as a specimen.

I silently gave the phone back to her, while trying to mask my surprise.

Her face was deep crimson and her eyes were moist.

“….sorry,” I uttered under my breath for prying into her privacy. Now I understand why she clings to that phone of hers so much.

“Baka! Hiro-kun, baka!” She shouted at me and turned to look away.

All the way back home, she didn’t speak a word to me.

….and that’s how I angered my Miyuki.
