After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 6- The Protagonist!
Miyuki was in a daze. She wasn’t able to endure Hiroto’s verbal assault about how much he loved her and all.
Miyuki was entirely flabbergasted and shocked upon hearing his feelings for her. At most, she thought he would be loathing her in his heart, and at minimum, she expected his indifference. Truth be told, before today, she wouldn’t have minded either behavior from him.
However now, she was saved by Hiroto on the verge of being violated, and he has expressed his utmost affection for her…Miyuki was at a loss.
He went on and on, about how much he likes her and gave enough reason to make her believe in him. He also knew that Miyuki was getting a little attached to Yuichi these days which Hiroto didn’t like.
“Seriously…what does he even want…” Miyuki couldn’t help asking herself. It was too surreal to believe Hiroto just because he expressed his love.
A day ago, he wasn’t even looking her in the eyes and always avoided Miyuki like she was some kind of plague, and she didn’t even care about his perception at all. She barely knew Hiroto to get influenced by his behavior
But now…things were bound to change.
‘I should get back home for the time being…’ She didn’t wait longer in the hospital as this place was reminding her about the confession she received from Hiroto just now.
Her heart was turning weird which urged her to leave the place as soon as she could.

Back in the hospital room, Hiroto could be seen grinning from ear to ear.
Not only was he able to change the pre-canon event, but he professed his love for Miyuki as well.
In all honesty, he might have delayed the confession until he didn’t have made some progress with the girl…however, considering the persona of the protagonist and Miyuki’s affection toward him, Hiroto needed to shake up her feelings and make her think about Hiroto more.
And thus, he proceeded to propose to her.

Hearing the door parting, Hiroto already guessed who this guest could be…and true to his expectation, it was Yuichi.
Long silver hair messily tied in a bun with greyish black sharp eyes coupled with a chiseled physique, and an ideal height of 6’1. This guy was the epitome of what a teenager would likely desire to become. His EQ might not be too great considering his past, but he was an extremely intelligent and sensible person.
The protagonist of the game and also, Hiroto’s best friend, Asukawa Yuichi.
“Are you fine now?” As he walked in, his heavy voice reached Hiroto.
Yuichi mainly remains indifferent and quite reserved however, he has a soft spot for those people he trusts and cares for. And Hiroto was one of them.
“I am good. You carried me to the hospital, I heard?” Since things went according to the plot, Yuichi arrived near the alley where the fight broke out, not so long after, and undoubtedly, he spotted his friend lying unconscious there.
“Well, the ambulance arrived soon after so, not something like that. It was all thanks to Shirogane-san that she called the hospital.”
Hiroto nodded at that with a sigh. He hoped that he wouldn’t have left such a lame impression by fainting all of a sudden, but he at least allowed the plot to cover the event for most of the part
After all, in the canon, Yuichi gets hospitalized after the fight since handling so many goons at a time was no easy feat even though Yuichi had experience in combat.
“Yeah..she is a wonderful girl.” Hiroto couldn’t help sighing in admiration as his mind wandered off, and the memories of the girl sitting just before him flashed across his vision.
“…are you really fine? Why are you grinning like that?” Yuichi asked in concern upon seeing Hiroto’s unnatural smile for no reason.
“Ah, yeah. Just thinking about stuff…” Yuichi didn’t pry. If it had been something important then his friend would surely tell him.
Yuichi remained silent for a moment, seemingly not very comfortable about the matter he was about to bring up, however, he needed to affirm something anyhow.
After contemplating a bit he asked, “Hiro…did you really kill that guy back in the alley?”
Surely, Hiroto had some combat experience given he was once the heir of a prominent family. However, knowing to fight and kill someone was far different in Yuichi’s book.
Yuichi knows, how devastated one could become after ending someone’s life…yet there was no sign in Hiroto’s behavior suggesting any difference whatsoever.
In the first place, with such precision, how come Hiroto killed that guy?
A lot of things don’t make sense. And the only person who could answer everything was right in front.
“Ah, that….in a panic, I replicated a technique I watched in a series. You know those crime investigation ones where they have to silence the goons and infiltrate criminal headquarters?”
Hiroto tried his best to convince the guy and this lie was something he was going to say to anyone who asked him.
Hiroto was very well aware of the fact that for someone like him, scaring off those many dudes wasn’t an easy feat so he planned to call it a fluke, nothing more.
Yuichi knew his friend wasn’t telling the whole truth but he didn’t press for the genuine answer and sighed in slight relief.
“Well, it’s good that you are safe.” After that Hiroto and Yuichi chatted a bit about what happened after Hiroto was brought to the hospital. Since Yuichi was with him all the time, he saw everything with his own eyes,
“Shirogane-san’s father and mother are aboard but hearing the incident, they are on their way back to Japan.”
“Hmm, that’s so. And what about my parents?” Hiroto asked nonchalantly but a tinge of worry was hidden deep in his heart.
‘It would be difficult convincing them…’ From the memories, Hiroto realized that his parents deeply cared about him and because of that, it would take a lot of time for him to explain everything to them.
However, unlike what he thought,
“Hiroto… this matter have been kept under wraps. Your parents are still unaware.”
