After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 54- Average guy?
“Ah…tomorrow, are you going to the ceremony?” Just as Hiroto was about to walk away after bidding his farewell to Miyuki, he remembered something and asked.
Miyuki was puzzled for a moment before she realized what he was talking about. With a shake of her head, she responded, “Most probably not. Why do you ask?”
Hiroto smiled at that in elation before he invited her, “Then let’s go to the summer festival tomorrow.”
Miyuki’s eyes slightly widened upon hearing the invitation to date as some images began to flash in her mind,
‘Summer festival->kimono->walking together with Hiro-kun hand in hand->watching fireworks->being held by him and kissing under the night sky->and then….and then….’
“You don’t want t-”
“I will go!”
Hiroto chuckled upon seeing the sudden enthusiasm from his girlfriend.
After a bit more chatting about tomorrow, Hiroto finally walked away.
He wanted to spend more time with Miyuki but because of his promise to Yuichi, Hiroto has no other option.
‘This better be something important…’ After Hiroto boarded the taxi, he muttered inwardly while cracking his knuckles.
The taxi driver looked petrified seeing the expression Hiroto wore as he ignited the engine and drove away.

Around seven, Hiroto finally reached the location where Yuichi called him.
This place was sparsely populated and the old shrine around the corner was very least visited because of the many rumours surrounding the shrine.
People say that the place is now a hideout of burglars but upon police investigation, only some skeleton of stray animals and a horde of mice came out.
Some even said that ghosts lurk in there of those people who have died in the society and have taken the shrine as their shelter.
Regardless, none of it scared Hiroto as he lazily walked inside the shrine and sat on the prayer platform nonchalantly.
He bought a protein bar on the way and was taking his time in finishing the meal…when suddenly he called out,
“You are not doing a fantastic job in hiding yourself, you know.”
Hiroto took another bite of the snack after calling out for the fool hiding behind the bushes.
The long-grown bushes rustled before a tall man wearing a monkey cap appeared before Hiroto. The only thing visible on his face was his dark eyes and mouth. The man was tall and was holding a baseball bat in his hand. His demeanor was anything but friendly…but not like Hiroto cared about it.
“I was sent here to confirm your location. It seems you are not very fond of your safety.”
“Is that so? Then what are you gonna do to me?”
Hiroto said with his mouth full of protein bar—uncaring of the growing numbers of men around him.
“Of course beat you up before helping my buds in taking care of your two friends.”
Hiroto raised his brows, “Two?”
Hiroto knew that Yuichi was aware that some people were targeting him—that’s why he invited Hiroto here.
However, who was the second person Yuichi brought along?
“Shouldn’t you be more concerned about yourself, brat? If I were you, I should have tried escaping already. But surely, that would be futile.”
As the man said, he advanced toward Hiroto before placing the baseball bat on Hiroto’s shoulder.
“If you don’t move much, I will make sure it doesn’t hurt much.”
Hiroto didn’t move….or more like it seemed he was unaffected by this whole situation.
The bored expression he wore made the man frustrated before he lifted his bat high, held it with both hands and intended to strike Hiroto’s shoulder.
However, before he could have brought the bat down, Hiroto punched the man’s ding-dong with full strength, at a speed which the man was unable to even see.
*Ting*
The bat from his hand dropped toward his behind before the man knelt and an ear-numbing yell left his throat,
“AAAAGHHHHHHH!” Hiroto frowned, having the man yelling so close to him before he stole from nearby and stuffed it inside the man’s mouth.
“Noisy.” Hiroto got up from the platform as the man fell to the ground.
“Hey, you!” Suddenly another person charged at him while holding the metal rod above his head.
“Announcing your arrival, mister?” Hiroto was amused by the immature way of combat they were showing before he crouched and easily evaded the attack.
Forming a karate chop with his right he hit the man’s back of the neck and sent him to oblivion.
Just before the man was about to fall to the ground, Hiroto snatched his metal rod and jumped toward his left, to dodge another incoming attack.
“Oraaaa!!” This one was using his fist—much to Hiroto’s amusement as he held the rod in his right hand and whipped it just at the same time as the man tried punching him
The metal rod hit the man’s knuckles and tears welled in the man’s eyes
“Oryyyyaaaaa!” However, he didn’t yield and twirled on his feet to strike Hiroto with his elbow….only to get hit by the rod again.
The man held his elbow and glared at Hiroto tearfully,
“*Hick* why are you cheating?! Be a man *sniff* and fight with bare hands!”
Seeing those heavy tears, Hiroto wanted to sigh but he didn’t and raised his left leg to kick the man gutt and throw him toward his fellow goon.
“You will pay for making him cry!” Another one ran towards Hiroto while holding the bat high above his head and his eyes turned red in anger.
However, this time he wasn’t the only one running towards Hiroto
Sensing the three-way attack Hiroto waited until they reached a few feet apart before he suddenly threw the metal rod he was holding into the air.
The three fools turned their attention to the rod and completely missed Hiroto’s advancing chop directed at their necks
*Dhak* *Dhak* *Dhak*
Unlike the time when Hiroto was beyond agitated upon seeing someone touching his Hime, right now Hiroto was far more relaxed as such the chances of him accidentally killing someone were near to zero.
For the next few minutes, Hiroto dealt with the remaining fifteen or so goons without much effort, and within ten minutes after his entrance into the shrine, Hiroto was standing on a stack of fallen men.
Hiroto decided to look around for Yuichi since it seemed he was also involved in this mess because of Hiroto.
‘…that shitty mop head Ryuuske has shown his real color eh….’ Hiroto had doubts that something like this would happen, that’s why he decided to investigate the guy once he returns home. However, Hiroto didn’t know things would escalate this soon.
“Huh?” Suddenly, Hiroto’s feet came to half as he saw two boys standing just near the entrance of the shrine—who also abruptly halted upon seeing Hiroto.
On the left was Yuichi and on the right was a short but buffed guy whose name Hiroto recalled to be Makoto.
The strike difference between the two and Hiroto was their condition.
While Hiroto looked completely fine with not even a crease formed on his clothes, Yuichi and Makoto seemed pretty messed up with numerous bruises and cuts all over them.
Makoto looked at Hiroto and then at the piled-up bodies of the goons inside the shrine before he elbowed Yuichi and asked, “Didn’t you say, he is just a high schooler?”
