After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 27- Angry?
So what changed because Hiroto had to interfere in a canon event?
Apparently, Kaori ended up confessing her love for Yuichi, a little earlier than she intended to.
Because she deemed herself on the deathbed, when that blond kidnapped her and was about to physically assault her, Kaori ended up relaying her feelings. And now, the relationship between Yuichi and Kaori has become a little awkward.
Naturally, since Yuichi only thought of Kaori as a friend, he didn’t accept her proposal right away, but he wasn’t so distant from her to reject her as well. In the end, from how Hiroto perceived the situation,
“…you guys are dating on a trial period and Yuichi will answer your confession truthfully, at the end of the month.” Was what he summarized after hearing half and half-truths from both as they walked toward the school.
“H-Hiro-kun, you don’t need to be so direct about it.” Hiroto wanted to facepalm himself upon hearing the stuttering voice of the girl from his left.
Yuichi looked equally embarrassed about it; betraying his character.
“What’s direct about it? The truth won’t change even if I say it in another way.” Hiroto sighed as he walked in between the two love birds.
“What about you Hiro-kun? Didn’t you go on a date yourself with Shirogane-san?” Hiroto narrowed his eyes and glared at Yuichi, who feigned ignorance while pretending to check his phone.
“You guys just started dating and this bastard couldn’t keep things from you, already?” Hearing his words, the blush across her cheeks deepened as she looked anywhere but at Yuichi.
“Don’t blame me…she interrogated me.” Yuichi slowly muttered, trying to defend himself, but Hiroto didn’t pay mind to it. He already knew that Yuichi had dormant likingness toward Kaori so it wasn’t a surprise that it was surfacing already.
After they walked a little further, the awkwardness lessened a little as Kaori broke the silence, “Hiro-kun…will the Shirogane family agree to this relationship?”
Hiroto didn’t express any reaction to that and simply shrugged.
While it was true that the gap between their status was immense, it didn’t mean Shirogane Souma would entirely reject Hiroto’s presence in his daughter’s life. He might be a pure business down to the core, but he wouldn’t place a value on his daughter’s happiness.
‘Hmm?’ Suddenly, Hiroto’s eyes dawned upon a certain individual, standing near the foot of the mountain, with a subtle blush on her face and something held in her grip tightly.
Instantly, Hiroto realized who she was and what she intended to do.
‘Isn’t it one of the main heroines, who was supposed to forward her love letter to Yuichi on Friday?’ Thinking back, Yuichi missed school that day which postponed the event.
…and now, that Kaori was with Yuichi and they were dating, there was a high chance, that she might come in the way and change the event entirely.
‘Damn it!’ It won’t take long for Yuichi and Kaori to also notice the girl, and if the said blond gyaru fails to deliver the letter to Yuichi now, it will become bothersome for another event.
After a quick contemplation, Hiroto suddenly halted in his track and exclaimed,
“Fu…something hit my eye….”
Hearing Hiroto’s cry, the other two naturally halted before the nearest to Hiroto—Kaori checked on him.
“Let me see. Let me see.” Tiptoeing, she took out her handkerchief as she tried to soothe his pain by slowly blowing in Hiroto’s eye, which had turned slightly red, making Kaori worried.
Yuichi was also trying to see what happened when suddenly he felt someone tapping on his shoulder.
“Hmm?” Turning, he saw a familiar face standing there with a troubled expression on her face.
Yuichi was about to ask what she wanted when suddenly the girl extended a paper toward him, which Yuichi instinctively took hold of before he saw the girl dashing her way away from them.
Dumbfounded by the absurdness of the situation he glanced downwards, only to find a crumbled paper resting on his palm.
‘…is it a letter?’
As Yuichi was trying to get over his surprise, finally Kaori was able to help Hiroto with his discomfort.
“Thank you. I think it was dust.” While holding Kaori’s handkerchief over his eye, Hiroto thanked the girl.
“You should see the nurse if it continues to sting.” Hearing Kaori’s suggestion, Hiroto simply nodded as he side-glanced at Yuichi.
Fortunately, Yuichi didn’t bring up the topic of the gyaru who gave him the letter, to Kaori as they finally reached the school ten minutes before homeroom.
Yuichi and Kaori sat side by side at the front so they took their seats while Hiroto made his way entirely toward the other side of the classroom, with his eyes already set on his target.
“Morning.” Miyuki lifted her eyes from the book she was reading before turning her head toward Hiroto…only to refocus on the book, without bothering to respond to him.
Hiroto was taken aback by the cold response from the girl but that did not stop him from approaching her.
“What did I do to anger my Hime this time?” Hiroto doesn’t remember missing any of her texts last night or in the morning and he diligently replied to all of them.
After all, the girl he liked was attentively talking to him, what could he ask for more?
However, right now, Miyuki didn’t reply, but just continued reading her book like she was uninfluenced by her surroundings.
Whether it was anger or frustration, it was evident that Miyuki was upset about something and didn’t want to interact with anyone; especially Hiroto.
…however, she didn’t expect he would leave her after calling out only twice. She hoped…rather expected him to be a little forceful with his approach, but not hearing his voice anymore she discerned that he must have left—urging Miyuki to hurriedly turn toward her left…
…only to find, Hiroto sitting on the desk beside her, with his body, entirely turned in her direction and a warm smile over his lips.
“You finally turned to look at me.”
Miyuki was still not immune to that look, and because of that particular reason she tried turning away…only to find her hand being held by Hiroto.
“Nu-uh. Until you don’t tell me, what I did to make you upset, I ain’t letting you go.” This time, he was firm with his words. And Miyuki felt ashamed to feel submissive toward it.
In the end, she forwarded her glare toward him, and spoke in a low yet stern voice,
“If you can’t figure it out yourself…then, why don’t you take ‘her’ help for this as well?”
That day, Hiroto got to see a new side of Miyuki.
The jealous one~
