After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 12- Packing up
Hiroto nearly failed to fulfill his purpose in this world, right on the first day.
In the pre-canon event, when Yuichi saves Miyuki from those many goons, he gets hospitalized, naturally. And because of that Kaori doesn’t tell him about her situation considering his health and such.
Lost in choice, she decides to meet the blackmailer alone, when Hiroto (the game character) sees her heading toward an area which wasn’t safe for women, Hiroto decides to tell Yuichi about it and after a lot of skirmishes, Yuichi somehow rescues Kaori from her potential death.
However, in this timeline, when Hiroto is the one who confronts the goons and gets hospitalized, Kaori doesn’t hold back from confessing her issue with Yuichi…and the rest was already expressed.
‘Seriously…just on the first day of reincarnation, I would have needed to go a day back…’ Despite his concern, Hiroto was somehow excited about the prospect of living this day once again. After all, he would be able to spend more time with Miyuki, in that way.
However, of course, Hiroto wouldn’t take any chance for something that went without a hitch. Surely Kaori must be traumatized slightly by now, but the protagonist would somehow coax her.
Currently, he was in the process of deleting everything from the blondie’s phone. There were more than eighty victims who were blackmailed and tortured by this guy, who in actuality was the son of a businessman.
‘Well, I should hurry up…’ Considering the blondie’s background, Hiroto only had fifteen minutes before either police or maybe assailants overcrowded this place.
Having been in this field for a long, the basic of hacking and breaching firewalls was no big deal for Hiroto so it didn’t take long before he deleted all the videos from the phone.
‘Damn…’ Hiroto quirked his brows upon checking the account balance of the blondie but because Hiroto didn’t prepare any alternate account for himself, he couldn’t risk sending this much money to his own account. In the end, he sent all the sum to various orphanages in one go.
‘Well, this account got settled…’ Sighing in relief, Hiroto destroyed the phone and decided to leave. There weren’t any security cameras in the place so he didn’t bother looking around for long and left soon after.
This incident surely isn’t going to level down any time soon.

All the way back to his home, Yuichi kept on thinking about that Vigilante who came to save them and ended up murdering those many people…or was it the other way around? Yuichi couldn’t tell. He surely had some contacts who could take such extreme steps but why would they hide their identity for him?
He bought some clothes for Kaori along the way and decided to first take her, to his home since she was quite shaken up and there was no one back at her home.
“I know this is silly of me to ask…but are you fine, Kaori?” Kaori was brought up in a domesticated and strict surrounding which was why this much brutality and being introduced to the harsh reality surely would have left a great impact on her.
“I am fine, Yu-kun…how about you? You were injected with a drug…shouldn’t we get checked up by a doctor?” The suggestion was valid but for now, Yuichi didn’t want to go anywhere else than his home.
“Tomorrow, let’s go together.” Despite her concerns, Kaori nodded in assent as the two of them walked inside his apartment flat.
‘This is my first time…’ Kaori couldn’t help but feel a little nervous since this was the first time she had visited a boy’s room…and not to talk about, this boy was also her crus-
‘Wait…’ Kaori felt a shiver run down her spine as she suddenly remembered something she told Yuichi back when she thought she was going to be violated by that vile creature.
‘Maybe he doesn’t remember?’ Seeing how his behavior remained the same, Kaori guessed that either Yuichi had rejected her proposal without saying anything (which surely was going to make her depressed for days) or he just simply didn’t remember.
However, “Kaori…about your confession…”
He…definitely remembers.
[Hiroto’s POV:]
After dealing with the first villain of the first arc, I returned back home nearly at eight in the evening.
This first experience made me aware of two things, that I should be paying my utmost attention to:
First, I need to be cautious about my actions as the side character and always keep a record of the plot and the routes each heroine is following. Based on their action, I could determine the consequences and act accordingly.
Second, my identity. Yuichi wasn’t a complete clean guy…but he still feels averse to the idea of killing someone so it would be pretty hectic. Worst case, he might end up filing me to the police.
Need to avoid that, at all costs.
‘Hmm?’ My train of thoughts suddenly broke when I saw my parents standing outside of the house with a pretty anxious look on their faces. Dad was sweating profusely while my mother’s eyes seemed slightly red.
“Mom….Dad?”
Hearing my call they turned around hurriedly and before I could have asked them what happened, my mother suddenly launched herself in my arms.
“Hiroooooo!”

[At the same time]
Miyuki was sitting in her room with a blank expression, with her notebook and study material sprawled over the table, yet she had yet to write the first letter. All she did this past hour was to keep poking the dot at the crown of the page.
Her head was muddled with all the thoughts and remembrances of what transpired that day.
Despite being trained in self-defense, in front of those many men, she was scared to death…and all of a sudden a person emerged out of nowhere, who not only surprised Miyuki by showing some exceptional combat skills but also, confessed to her.
‘Will he…ask me for an answer tomorrow…’ For the first time in a while, Miyuki wanted to skip school and sort her thoughts first.
*Knock*
Being plucked out of her thoughts, Miyuki got a little annoyed since she had already rejected her maid’s request for Miyuki to have dinner.
“I told you-“However, as soon her eyes landed on the person standing at the door…Miyuki’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Father?!”
