After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 114- Move on
“Our belongings have already been sent to our new house. I am so excited.” Miyuki squealed in delight while holding Hiroto. Early in the morning, her father informed her that the place Hiroto had selected was already under renovation to match their taste and their stuff was getting shifted there as well.
Hiroto had already talked with his parents about it, so there was no objection from them. However, it was still a little saddening for them that Hiroto would be living away from his family. But not even once they spoke against his wishes.
It would only take half a day for everything to be done, and by tomorrow they can move to their love nest.
Hiroto was more elated than Miyuki could ever be. Living together with the person who has taught him the meaning of love, made him quite excited about the upcoming days.
However, before that, “Miyuki, I need to tell you something.”
Hiroto’s sober tone, made her pause before she nodded and sat back down on the bed.
She had a feeling that what he was going to say might hurt her, but unless it was about getting separated from her Hiro-kun, she could tolerate anything now.
Heaving a sigh, Hiroto looked down at their connected hands before whispering, “You remember that day…when I disappeared, right?”
Without hearing her heartbeat from close, he could tell it accelerated upon hearing about ‘that’ day.
Miyuki slowly nodded as the grip on his hand became firm.
“I need to sort things out with Satomi so she doesn’t pursue me anymore. And for that, I need to meet her…can you let me?”
“You won’t abandon me right?” Miyuki asked; anxiety and fear laced in her voice.
Hiroto slowly rose and pressed her face against his chest before uttering, “Whatever I do, whoever I meet, I won’t ever abandon you. You are the reason why I am alive…how can I dare abandon the only source which has given meaning to my life?”
Miyuki weakly clutched his shirt and mumbled, “E-Every second now…I-I feel something will ha-happen and you will get taken away…please don’t leave me alone anymore, Hiro-kun.”
His heart bled, and his eyes burned in grief and regret as he tightly hugged her and said, “I promise.”
The pain and grief the Goddess has bestowed upon Miyuki shall be repaid to her with interest.

After receiving the call from Yuichi, Hiroto got changed and went to the cafe where she works.
Thankfully, Satomi didn’t pester Miyuki to meet again, after last night. Naturally, after what had happened in a different timeline, Miyuki rejected Satomi’s request to meet her, knowing how her anger could cause Hiroto’s disappearance. That’s why, it seems, Satomi went to ask for Yuichi’s help.
‘Seriously, what did I even do for her to fall for me?’ Hiroto couldn’t help but mutter. He always kept his distance from the heroines, especially those who didn’t share a close bond with him.
Like with Kaori, Suzu, and Hanabi, Hiroto was able to be himself since they knew Yuichi’s past and were deeply connected to him. Minami was obsessed with Yuichi so there was nothing to get worried about. That only leaves Satomi…and sadly she ended up choosing the man to fall in love with, who can be with no one else other than his hime.
Reaching the cafe, he spotted Yuichi and Satomi instantly, given how strikingly eye-catching they both were.
Satomi looked flustered upon noticing Hiroto. It almost seemed like she wanted to escape but under Yuichi’s stern gaze, she was left motionless.
Yuichi got up once Hiroto reached the table, before sharing a glance with his friend.
Hiroto nodded in understanding before he took the chair on which Yuichi previously sat.
Yuichi gave them some space and walked out of the place to call Suzu. She has been a little isolated these days—after that incident to be precise.
Hiroto heaved a sigh, before gesturing toward a waitress.
“What would you like to have, dear customer?” The waitress asked with a sweet smile.
“One black coffee. No milk, no sugar.”
The girl nodded before walking away and leaving Hiroto and Satomi alone.
Hiroto took the glass of water and drank a few mouthfuls before finally asking her, “Tell me whatever you have in your mind. I won’t judge nor will I hate you.”
Satomi’s head was leaned down and her left thumb rubbed against the back of her other hand. She looked anxious rather than nervous.
Maybe she was already aware of the response he would give to her confession? Regardless, if she doesn’t disclose her feelings now, she has a feeling that Hiroto won’t listen to her like this ever again.
“Hiroto-kun, I have fallen in love with you. Despite knowing that you are in a relationship and love Shirogane-san madly…I couldn’t stop myself. How this happened is not something I can tell. But I hold the utmost sincerity when I say that I love you.”
She had a lot more to say. To confess what made her attracted to him or why she wanted to be with him. However, maybe this was what one tells a maiden’s emotions, which turns haywire in front of the person they love.
Hiroto remained silent for a moment, as the waitress came to deliver the black coffee.
He took a long sip of the coffee made from freshly crushed beans before asking her, “You know my answer, yet you were trying to convince Miyuki.”
Clenching her fist, Satomi hesitantly asked, “So she told you?”
“I saw her message box. We have each other’s account, so it’s quite natural.” Hiroto casually stated—making Satomi feel regretful now.
Hiroto leaned forward and voiced some words in a warm tone, “Listen Satomi…I respect your feelings. I really do. You are a pretty girl with a kind personality. Any guy would wish to date you…but when it comes to me, I can’t think of anyone romantically other than Miyuki. It’s just not possible for me to look at anyone else in the same manner I look at Miyuki…that’s why, please don’t pursue me anymore, or you will get hurt.”
Tears were rolling down her eyes as she asked, “C-Can’t we e-even try o-once?”
“There is no trial and error in relationships for me, Satomi. So no, I can’t.” Hiroto sternly responded, making her weep even more as she leaned her head down.
Hiroto took out some bills before putting it on the table and getting up. Just as he was about to leave, he spoke his concluding words,
“In this life, it’s impossible for us to become one. So please, stop hurting yourself and get over it.”

After exiting the cafe, Hiroto sighed. This was more difficult than he initially thought. Not because he had to reject a girl, he can do that any hour of the day unless the said girl is Miyuki, rather, her tears exposed the deep emotions Satomi harbours for him.
Taking out his phone, Hiroto searched for a person’s contact number before calling her.
The phone rang thrice before the other party picked up,
[Takeda-kun, what can I do for you?]
“I need your help with your sister. In exchange, I will give what you asked.”
[Consider it done~]

A/N:- Satomi’s chapter probably concludes here. Maybe in a different timeline they could have been a couple.
