It was around the time when the engagement ceremony was just around the corner and the Takeda couple had arrived at a shopping complex to buy some gifts for their in-laws

They had a very serious problem of not knowing anything about their in-laws, and because of that, they didn’t know what to buy and what they would like. Considering their financial condition the Takeda couple knew that they couldn’t give something unique in the world. However, Shirogane Souma and Yuki were good people, so they would surely accept whatever they had to offer.

They were looking for decoration items and tea seats to gift them during the ceremony, as such, they headed towards the gifting shop situated on the ground floor.

“Anata, is this really okay? Can we try something less costly?” The store Ryouske was leading his wife to, offered one of the most finest craftsmanship and beautiful products. But the price of the products also ranged higher than what an average earning person can buy.

Ryouske smiled at her in assurance and held his wife’s hand before telling her, “I have withdrawn money from my fixed deposit so you don’t need to worry. That money I was saving for Hiroto’s college, but he has already gained a scholarship so we can use it here.”

Akiko still looked reluctant. However, it was also true that every single penny they had saved until now was for Hiroto so spending a little more than what they can generally afford was not unreasonable.

They finally walked inside the store and the gentle smell of sandalwood greeted them. The warm lighting of the place gave a very friendly vibe. The couple looked around the shining and marvelous store in a daze.

“Welcome customers.” Suddenly, the manager standing near the entrance greeted the duo with a blooming smile on his face.

Ryouske couldn’t help but compare his own clothes, which consisted of a plain white shirt and black trousers, with the manager’s three-piece expensive suit. Akiko also had a similar feeling as she looked at the female staff standing nearby with a beautiful smile on their faces and their appearance making the lady a little out of place.

For a moment he believed that they might get sent away just based on their clothes.

However, “What are you looking for today, dear customer? Our staff will help you find them.”

Akiko stared in slight surprise hearing such a friendly tone from the manager. However, Ryouske maintained a calm front and asked them, “Can we look for some tea sets?”

“Yes, of course. Kaira.” The manager turned towards one of the female staff and told her wordlessly.

The dark blue-haired young woman came forward and gestured for them, “Please follow me.”

Ryouske glanced at Akiko with his eyes, saying, “I am not sure what’s happening’ as he held her hand firmly and walked in the direction where Kaira led them.

Akiko’s eyes sparkled once they landed on the wide range of tea set collections. From vintage to Western style, everything looked attractive and classy.

However, she soon brought herself under control and first checked the price tag. For expensive tea sets, especially in branded stores like this one, the price may vary from ¥50,000 to ¥200,000 at least. That’s why they decided to just buy one.

However, the moment Akiko’s eyes landed on the price tag, her eyes stretched wide in shock,

She checked the tag twice and thrice before taking out her glasses from her bag and inspecting the zeroes once again. But despite checking it so many times, she could only see four digits.

Ryouske frowned, seeing his wife being restless, but before he could advance towards her and ask anything, Akiko turned to look at the staff and asked her, “E-Excuse me, did you accidentally put the wrong price tag?”

Ryouske felt that his wife was being a little dramatic seeing a six-digit tag as he heaved a sigh, however, the moment he looked at the digits, he also froze.

Kaira smiled a little awkwardly as she said, “No, it’s the correct price tag. A special sale is going on because today is the store owner’s birthday. So please, continue without worrying about wrong tags.”

Akiko beamed with a huge smile upon hearing that. She checked other products and found that the prices were lowered to one-tenth.

The couple soon got busy picking up products from all over the place. Not just to gift them but for the household as well. And because of their haste and excitement, they never noticed the ‘Closed’ signboard hanging at the entrance of the shop.

“Am I being cheated on?” Miyuki smiled in response to the ‘allegation’ as she put her phone down and looked at her lover.

“Oh no, I got caught,” Miyuki responded with fake panic in her voice as she took the tray from him and put it down on the table.

They currently were in the cafeteria of the amusement park. Hiroto wanted to come here with Miyuki once, so they thought, why wait for the weekend?

Since today was half a day at school, they decided to head home as fast as they could and meet for the date at the station to give this date the actual vibe.

“Did I tell you?”

While Miyuki was seeping on her smoothie, Hiroto suddenly asked.

She blinked in puzzlement before separating her lips from the straw and asking him, “What?”

A flowery smile that made people stop in their tracks and marvel at the sight, bloomed on her face. Hearing compliments from Hiroto always makes her heart flutter.

Miyuki giggled. She expected him to say that.

She suddenly had a thought which she didn’t hold back from asking, “Hiro-kun, you will be going to meet your uncle next month, right? Can I come with you?”

Hiroto blinked in confusion before suggesting, “I can take you with me…but it will be boring to spend time with us. We will be just talking about books and stuff.”

Miyuki pouted, “You forgot who is the top ranker of the class?”

“Isn’t it Minami?”

Her cheek bulged even more, “But who is in the top ten?”

Hiroto chuckled and yielded, “It’s my Hime, of course.”

Her reddening cheeks deflated as with a smug she announced, “That’s right, I am a scholar Hiro-kun. Praise me.”

“Yep~My Miyuki is both cute and smart. Aren’t I the luckiest one?”

Miyuki giggled like a child hearing the compliment.

The nearby people, mostly those who were singles, were glaring at the flirting duo with all the scorn they could muster.

However, the duo ignored them completely and continued their chat.

“Well, the main reason for me to visit Kyoto is to attend my middle school teacher’s retirement ceremony.”

Hiroto raised his brows in surprise, “Was that person special?”

Miyuki gently smiled, remembering her teacher as she responded in a warm tone, “Indeed she is. The only person who endured my personality and always remained patient with me.”

Remembering that teacher, a soft smile spread her lips as Miyuki muttered under her breath, “I wonder how Chihiro-sensei is doing now.”
