After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 107- Information
Collaboration with one of the most dangerous and tenacious gangs was one hell of a task. And Yuichi has taken an oath that he would make the impossible possible.
Steel Serpent is a relatively small group however, the gang members are trained fighters gathered up from different parts of the world. They focused on quality over quantity and that’s the reason why the Steel Serpent gang still was a free gang and not under anyone’s command.
Hotaru has been trying to bring them under his wing for the past ten years but hasn’t succeeded. And now, Yuichi declared that he would fulfil Hotaru’s wish in exchange for letting him continue his relationship with Hanabi.
Back at his apartment, now that he was thinking closely, Yuichi knew why the man agreed to the demand so easily.
With his eyes falling to the ground, Yuichi solemnly muttered, “He knows that I would fail. That’s why he seemed so nonchalant.”
Hiroto didn’t reply immediately however, he inwardly agreed. The task was so difficult that a single mistake could lead to failure. And if Yuichi doesn’t remain cautious he would make an enemy out of both gangs.
“Hiroto, you told me to offer Hotarou-san the most desirable thing he wants…but now what?” Yuichi turned towards his friend in helplessness.
He couldn’t think of any way of even contacting the Serpents. And even if he does, what would Yuichi say? ‘Hey, you seem pretty lonely. Wanna collaborate?’ or something?
Hiroto sighed before asking the guy to calm down for a bit and let him think.
Well, even though Hiroto said he wanted to think, he already had a plan in his mind.
Getting up from his seat, Hiroto approached Yuichi and took the seat beside him on the couch.
Taking out his phone, Hiroto asked, “Do you wanna know what I found after investigating the Boss of Steel Serpent?”
“You investigated?! But how?” Yuichi exclaimed, slightly surprised and slightly anxious. The former was understandable and his anxiety bubbled up because of Hiroto’s sudden involvement with things related to the underworld.
His friend was not like Yuichi who had to bear the burden of having a dark past. Hiroto hasn’t killed someone before nor has he been involved with illegal activities. Hiroto was a good child who was brought up in a sheltered environment. And now, seeing him getting involved with all this made Yuichi quite restless.
Hiroto somehow could sense what his friend was going through which urged him to say, “You are worrying for nothing. Not like I have thrown myself in this mess directly.”
Yuichi frowned, “Then how did you probe them?”
Hiroto smirked before declaring, “You forgot who my lover is?”
Yuichi widened his eyes, “You actually used Shirogane-san to help me?”
Emotions welled up in his chest as Yuichi asked him. Hiroto has always been so fond of Miyuki that Yuichi never expected him to ask favours from Miyuki just to help Yuichi.
Hiroto knew that he had caused a misunderstanding, but well, it was not like it was going to hurt. In reality, Miyuki was more eager to help Hiroto since if she did, Yuichi would return to his usual life and stop bothering Hiroto.
A different motive but the intention was clear. Hiroto was going to utilise the network of Shirogane to find what he deems necessary for this arc.

In a cafe which looked quite expensive, by its ambience, there sat a fidgety young girl with short dark green hair.
She wasn’t accustomed to coming to such expensive places and her clothes were making her a little out of the place as well. The fact she was even allowed to sit here was because the person she came to meet had already booked a table.
“Shirogane-san…where are you…” While glancing at the entrance every once in a while, Kaori sipped on the complimentary coffee she got.
She came here behind Yuichi and Hiroto’s back to meet Miyuki for some specific reason.
Finally, her wait came to an end as the doors parted and the figure of an elegant and charming young lady came into view.
The previously engaged customers, who didn’t even bother to look at her when Kaori entered, had all their eyes turned towards the silver-haired beauty.
However, none of those gazes bothered her as she fluently made her way toward the table where Kaori was sitting.
“Tell me.” Putting her bag down, Miyuki sat across Kaori and asked her in a cold tone; leaving no room for warm greetings and all.
Kaori has interacted with Miyuki before, but most of the time, Hiroto or someone else remained around them. Even in the locker room, Miyuki talked to people only when it became utmost necessary. And because of her cold front, no one generally approaches her.
‘Collect yourself Kaori…you can do it…’ Pumping herself with confidence, which she surely needed, Kaori finally asked the person,
“Miyuki-san, do you know when is Hiroto-kun’s birthday.”
Miyuki narrowed her eyes upon hearing that name from Kaori but she didn’t delay in answering,
“Twenty-third of October.” She has already made plans for that day and marked that day in every calendar she has at home. Miyuki knew she wouldn’t forget his birthday. However, she had to remain alert to not miss such a big day.
Kaori heaved a sigh; relieved that her motive to invite Miyuki here did not go to waste.
“Shiorgane-san, the birth date you know is wrong.” Hearing those words from Kaori, Miyuki’s frown deepened but she didn’t say anything and allowed the other person to speak.
“Shirogane-san, some years ago, something happened during Hiroto-kun’s birthday that’s why he decided he wouldn’t celebrate his birthday ever and even changed his birth date in the school enrollment form. He deems that day ominous. That’s why he never told anyone about it other than Yu-kun.”
Although Miyuki was beyond surprised to hear that and a little upset, she focused on the most prominent matter and asked the girl, “What happened that day?”
Kaori looked unsure whether she should say this, given she might be interfering with their personal life. Hiroto has chosen not to tell Miyuki about this, which makes Kaori even more hesitant.
“Kaori-san, you don’t need to be nervous. I won’t tell Hiro-kun, that it was you who told me.” Suddenly, the soothing voice of Miyuki reached her ears, and for some seconds, Kaori couldn’t believe that Shirogane Miyuki had talked to her in such a gentle tone.
Without thinking much she uttered, “That day….you broke off engagement with him and returned the ring. After that day, Hiroto-kun decided to never celebrate his birthday again.”
