After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 1- Crash...
*SMACK*
Throwing my phone on the ground, I have never felt so satisfied. Even though it cost a lot to me, the frustration I was suffering from, was worth destroying the phone.
“Fuck the creators! Why can’t they let her have a happy ending?”
I cursed out loud even though there was no one in the room and the reason for my outburst was a simple game.
Yes, just a game.
A game centered around a typical gary-stu protagonist with no flaw whatsoever, having multiple girls in his harem and living a perfect life, even though many obstacles try to sabotage him.
Well, as a gamer, I should be happy about it since anyone playing the game puts themselves in the shoes of the protagonist. However, I cannot.
There was a single character in the game I liked the most….and the protagonist kept on rejecting her. Like some kind of leech, he always avoided her, and because of that, her route always ended up in failure or tragic death.
Like seriously?!
Just because someone’s way of loving is kind of different, doesn’t give that dickhead protagonist to ignore her and let her die at the hands of some goons.
I have tried every single route to try and save her. Even tried to ignore the path where the said heroine fell in love with the main character so she could have a good life
But alas.
“She was so beautiful…so pure…. ugh!!” I punched on the wall repeatedly in anger remembering the last shot of that heroine.
How cruel this world could be to bestow that innocent soul such a tragic end. And all of it because of that creepy vanilla-lover protagonist.
“Fuck…I need some beer to clear my head…” I would probably buy another phone on the way as well since I want to enjoy seeing that heroine some more. I know she would end up dying in every route, as per what the creators said, but until that point, I could play with a happy smile.
Changing my clothes, I walked out of the house, only to find an envelope lying at the side of my door.
Snickering at it, I stuffed the envelope inside my pocket without checking the details for now.
‘Even on weekend…this job never let me rest eh…’
Sighing under my breath, I walked down the apartment before walking alongside the footpath to reach the shop where I would be buying illegal alcohol.
Yeah, illegal since I was only seventeen years old.
Tucking my hand inside the pockets, I made my way down the street. Despite it being nearly ten on the wintery night of November, the city streets of Tokyo were bustling with people as always.
‘Oh, how lovely they look… ‘ Seeing groups of boys and girls having fun and hanging around…nearly made me puke.
I never liked crowds, attention, wearing fancy shit and such so this place was suffocating for me.
‘Might as well try to live in Afghanistan for the time being….’
While I was planning for the next settlement I began crossing the road…only to realize that a fast-moving truck was just some meters away.
I didn’t wait for another moment before jumping forward, to get myself out of the reach of Truck-kun…but…
*BLRRRRR*
….another one came just right at the spot where I jumped from the other side, leaving no room for me to escape.
And with that, I was dead.
****
The next place where my eye part was a complete void where no particular detailing was left to rest my eyes on.
The endless void just went on and on in whichever direction I tried to look at. I was not sure whether I was standing on anything or just floating subconsciously.
‘Damn…it feels liberating to die…’ The feeling of getting smashed by a truck wasn’t good, more so the crunch of my bones shattering and the sensation of my heart giving out was particularly disturbing.
I sat cross-legged at my spot and found that I have still my bloodied body with me yet there was no pain whatsoever.
“More like…can I feel anything at all?” I tried pinching my broken nose, yet there was no feeling at all.
[You don’t look uneasy by the fact that you no longer are alive.]
The voice I was searching for, finally resonated before I turned to look at a lady sitting on a throne made of nothing but white feather.
Her blond hair flowed down her shoulder with her golden eyes entirely fixated on me. She was wearing what one could call, ancient Greek attire, which consisted of white clothing worn around her lower body, with a thin belt around her waist and the same cloth going in ‘V’ to cover her modest breast.
She was beautiful…well, not as much to make me completely mesmerized.
[I never intend to show my true self other than my true love.]
She grumbled with her expression going blank.
Getting up on my feet I asked the obvious, “Did I die because of some reasons you cannot tell me?”
I have read enough novels to know that the incident I had to face was no mere coincidence. I mean, when do you see two trucks passing by each other at such blinding speed and why was the second one coming from the other way, when it was a one-way route?
Of course, I wasn’t dead because of some mere fate…I was trapped.
[You pick on details rather quickly. Well, there was a reason why you were chosen, so it’s understandable.]
Chosen she says, how curious~
I retained my focus on the woman, waiting for her to continue which she does not so long after,
[Your death was premature since I needed a man from the mortal realm to do something about this.]
She whipped her wrist once before a mobile screen popped in front of my face and the home screen of the game, ‘Love Stars: Dawn’ was on display.
My eyes widened since this was the same freakin game on which I was venting just some moments ago.
I remained silent for a moment before my lips parted as I asked in a heavy tone,
“Tell me what I have to do?”
The woman raised her brows, probably because of seeing my changed demeanor but considering what I was expecting of the scenario unfolding, this was pretty much a normal reaction.
The possible scenario….for me to change something I dearly wanted to. And as I expected, this death of mine was nothing to grieve about since,
[You are going into the world of that game to finish a task I dearly want to be done.]
