After Becoming a Counselor for Girls, I Ended Up Producing a Lot of Potential Girlfriends Who Became Mentally Ill - Chapter 35
Chapter 35: Kujo’s Desire
When Kujo came into contact with Kotomi, she had perfectly deduced the situation.
“Since then, I think… there’s this girl named Shiraishi Kotomi, who seems unusually full of energy. Maybe it’s in a negative direction. People are saying she’s changed.”
“I see.”
“I can’t ignore this, Seiichiro-kun. Her behavior seems to be that of a pure girl who’s fallen in love. Maybe, once again, Seiichiro-kun was confessed to?”
Once Kujo’s network of information is engaged, it seems there’s no way to keep anything hidden. I realized once again that it’s not good to be too optimistic.
“Kotomi… Shiraishi Kotomi was definitely my confidant. Since I drove off Sasamoto, the relationship has definitely changed.”
“You’re not saying it directly. So, basically, you’ve got a new girlfriend candidate, right?”
The only thing I could do was quietly nod.
“Yeah. I didn’t even need to confirm it. The trust level is probably around 99 percent, right?”
“That’s right.”
“I can’t help but feel furious. Human relationships really are unpredictable, I strongly think.”
Then, Kujo continued.
“Even though I broke up with Sasamoto, he started targeting other girls. And now, that girl has fallen for my Seiichiro-kun. I indirectly created this situation. So, it’s not just anger I feel, but a strange regret.”
Even though it seemed like there was no reason to regret, breaking up with Sasamoto had caused a butterfly effect. It wasn’t surprising that I was controlled by such complicated emotions.
“So, this is the main point, right?”
“Yes. And the other thing is about your recent activities. I’ve let things play out a bit, so there might be some results. What have you been doing with the others? Did you have fun with that Shiraishi Kotomi girl? Hehehe, I’m curious. I want to reenact everything.”
When I heard her say she wanted to reenact everything, I couldn’t help but make a bitter face.
After all, there were cases where I went out with just Shizuku and Kotomi.
I went on a trip with Shizuku, and enjoyed an amusement park with Kotomi. Completing both would be a little difficult timewise.
It wasn’t impossible, but it wasn’t like I had as much free time as during winter break.
And then there was the burden of doing the same things I did with the other two for Kujo.
Even though I thought I was doing it for Kujo, I couldn’t help but feel it was a bit heavy. The thing about making choices is that you’re always cutting off other options.
I could understand her desire to want to do the same things with me that I did with the others, but whether it could be fully realized was another question.
“Is it impossible? Is a girl like me asking too much? Wanting everything while tolerating other girls, is that too greedy and ambitious?”
“I think time with you, Kujo, is very important. But right now, time with the others is also important. I want to be close to you as much as I can, but if I try to make everything work, things will get difficult. I don’t want to end up hating you.”
When I said that, Kujo became quiet.
“I see, I’m the heavy and troublesome girl that you’re about to hate, right? Maybe it’s better if we just cut ties. That way, I wouldn’t have to suffer.”
Kujo deliberately sounded a bit down.
“No, I didn’t mean that. I just said it’s a bit hard to accept all your demands.”
I explained myself, a little lacking in calm.
“Good. I was just trying to act like an overly troublesome girl.”
“I don’t want you to test me like that.”
“I don’t usually do this. I got curious and wanted to see if it would trouble you.”
Kujo laughed, and I was filled with the desire to shrug my shoulders.
I knew that Kujo was a strategist, someone who calculated things. Even though she said it was all an act, a lot of her true feelings were hidden in those actions.
Indeed, I couldn’t underestimate Kujo.
“So, for now, it’s fine. I won’t press you on what you did with the other two. Instead, I want you to spend some fun time with me. As close as possible.”
“In the future, right?”
“Yes. It would be great if it were today, but I’m sure Seiichiro-kun has plans already.”
“Yeah, that’s right.”
“So, I have another request.”
Kujo paused for a moment before declaring to me.
“I want to meet Shiraishi Kotomi as soon as possible. I just want to greet her.”
“‘As soon as possible,’ you mean today?”
“Of course. I looked her up, and she doesn’t seem like a busy type. If you tell her to meet, she’ll probably come running.”
“Unfortunately, it might be tough today.”
Not only with Shizuku, but I felt the same way with Kujo when it came to meeting in person, so I tried to avoid the issue.
“Then, at least contact her in front of me. It’s tough, but I don’t think it’ll be impossible.”
At that point, no matter how I tried to hide it, it would be obvious that I was going to meet her.
I realized that trying to cover it up was pointless.
“…I’ll meet her later. It’s a bit tricky, but with certain conditions.”
“What kind of conditions?”
“Shizuku will be present.”
“That seems like it’s going to be an interesting situation.”
Kujo grinned with a scheming smile and ordered me to lead her to where Kotomi was.
