Academy SP 〜An Ex-Mercenary Reincarnated as a Mob in a Gal Game. I Ditched My Bodyguard Job to Enjoy High School Life, but When the Ultra-Rich Heroines Were About to Get Killed, I Stepped In… and Somehow Built a Harem Powerful Enough to Control Japan〜 - Chapter 03
Chapter 03
“We’re here, we’re here! So this is Yushu Girls’ Academy, huh!”
“Oh my, Papa, you’re the one getting the most excited!”
While watching the ever-lovey-dovey couple in the driver’s and passenger seats, I rested my cheek on my hand in the back seat and looked outside.
A huge school sign caught my eye, written in beautiful calligraphy—Yushu Girls’ Academy—along with a massive gate that had to be at least three meters tall.
—Yeah… this looks exactly like the game. Yep, just like I remember.
Nostalgic memories surfaced.
I clearly remembered a scene where the game’s protagonist went, “Whoa, what an amazing gate…” in the prologue.
“Man, look at those cars. Mercedes, Lamborghinis, Rolls-Royces—some of them are limited editions too…! Damn, those have to be worth hundreds of millions…!”
Papa stared at the luxury cars with envy in his eyes.
I mean, we were riding in a Mercedes-Benz G-Class ourselves, which was already plenty flashy—but compared to the parents of the students attending this school, we were still at least two tiers below.
No wonder Papa was feeling a bit insecure.
“More importantly… look at the front gate. Something’s going on. It looks like a protest.”
Mama brought her hand to her mouth, clearly worried.
I cracked the window open slightly—and the voices from the demonstration drifted in.
“Break up the four mega-rich families!”
“Break them up!!”
“BREAK THEM UP!!!”
Ahh, right. Right.
In the prologue, there had been a scene where the protagonist ran into this very ‘Dismantle the Four Families’ protest and got completely thrown off.
There were easily over a hundred protesters, and a large number of police officers were desperately trying to hold them back with tape barriers and crowd control.
If I let Mama hear any more of those aggressive shouts, she’d probably get scared, so I quietly rolled the window back up.
“It’s getting worse by the day… the hostility toward those families.”
“Yeah… it really is…”
I unlocked my smartphone—well, technically Yuuji Takahashi’s phone—with a fingerprint scan and checked social media.
Sure enough, ‘Dismantle the Four Families Protest’ was trending.
The posts were full of heated arguments, with people going back and forth nonstop.
At a glance, there seemed to be more voices praising the protest than criticizing it.
Stuff like:
“Smash the privileges of the mega-rich!” “Expose the darkness of Japanese society!” “Yushu Girls’ Academy is pandering to the ultra-rich!”
Yeah… that kind of mood.
—Still, this was pretty awful.
What was the point of holding a protest here anyway?
If it were in front of the companies run by those mega-rich families, I could at least understand it.
But protesting here meant their target was clearly the daughters of those families—kids who were still minors.
Going after children like that was just wrong.
What I was looking at felt deeply abnormal.
I couldn’t help but wonder how the four heroines were taking all of this—
“………………”
No.
It wasn’t my problem.
Honestly, I had zero intention of getting involved with the daughters of those mega-rich families.
After all, just like in the original story, they were about to get dragged into all kinds of trouble.
…Though, to be fair, I couldn’t remember exactly what kind of trouble yet.
Either way, I planned to live a completely normal youth.
I was done with fighting day in and day out.
And besides—saving those girls was the main protagonist’s job in this gal game.
There was no role for a mob character like Yuuji Takahashi to play.
“Alright, let’s head inside.”
After undergoing a strict security check at the gate, we stayed in the car and were driven straight into the school grounds.
〇
“Oooh… so this is the gym of a high-class ladies’ school…”
The only gyms I’d ever known—being a middle-school dropout—were the public ones from my elementary and middle school days.
Compared to those, this place was way bigger.
And spotless.
Yeah, I bet those basketball hoops could go up and down with the push of a button. Fancy.
“New students, please line up over here.”
After being guided by the staff, I took a seat on a folding chair.
…Wait, no—this chair was way too soft.
It was black, cushioned, and looked ridiculously expensive.
I glanced back and saw the parents sitting behind us, every last one of them dressed in pricey-looking suits and dresses.
Oh—Mama from this life was waving at me.
—Still, this place felt kind of suffocating.
I shifted my gaze around.
No matter where I looked, it was all guys.
Big, well-built guys with sharp, serious expressions.
The area I was seated in was for male students admitted through the special enrollment system—
In other words, this was where the Academy SP students were gathered.
—Compared to us, over there…
On the other side of a single aisle separating us from the guys’ section was a completely different world.
Elegant scenery.
The girls wore their navy blazers perfectly, buttons neatly fastened all the way up.
Their skirts sat just above the knees.
They looked serious.
Sheltered.
Like proper young ladies who had been raised with nothing but care and affection.
They were sitting there politely, like a painting come to life.
If I remembered right, the male-to-female ratio was about 1:4, with roughly 200 students per grade.
That meant there were close to 160 girls sitting over there.
It was honestly overwhelming.
As a guy, I felt a little out of place.
“—Well now, now. You’re staring awfully hard there~. Found a girl that suits your taste yet, my good man?”
Huh? What was with this sleazy voice?
I looked to my right and saw a man with an equally sleazy-looking face, flicking his glasses up and down.
Ah—this guy…!
“Oops, pardon my manners. Name’s Kenzo Wakita. Pleasure to make your acquaintance.”
Wakita… that Wakita.
The side character Wakita from the gal game!
“Man, compared to this sweaty den of men, those lovely ladies across the aisle are just something else…! I swear I can almost smell their sweet fragrance from here~”
Wakita sniffed the air cheerfully, completely carefree.
Yeah… this guy really was exactly how he was in the game.
He was the classic ‘rom-com protagonist’s buddy’ type—the side character who knew everything, dumped information on you, and conveniently helped move the story along.
In short, a very useful side character.
“If I’m gonna date someone, I think I’d prefer one of the girls from those noble families. If I marry in, I’d instantly become upper class, right? Let’s see… the Ichijo family’s young lady looks promising, the Hattori family’s too… hmm, maybe the Mima family as well… Oh? That girl with the huge boobs over there really stands out—wonder which family she’s from? She might be my top pick so far!”
—So in the end, he was still just chasing appearances.
I remembered thinking he was a goofy guy in the game, and it looked like that personality carried over perfectly into real life.
“—So this is my seat, huh.”
That was when it happened.
A boy sat down in the seat in front of the empty chair next to Wakita.
I almost shouted out loud—but barely managed to hold it in.
—That guy was…!
The protagonist of this gal game—
Shirou Amagaya.
