The Goddess-Sama Is One-Sixteenth Of My Sister. (Part 1)
The next day…
Mikoto-san was still recovering from her cold, but looks like she’s feeling much better than before.
Mikoto-san still couldn’t go to school though, so I asked her if she wanted me to take the day off too. But she shook her head.
“I think I’m feeling better today.”
Mikoto-san smiled as she said that.
I guess she is really okay, not just being stubborn.
I couldn’t miss two days of school in a row.
That’s why I went to school, and now that my last class is over, I’m about to go home.
I was worried about Mikoto-san, so I was going to go straight home.
Kaho had not spoken to me even once today.
When I glanced at her, she looked scared and blatantly looked away.
She’s completely avoiding me, I think.
That can’t be helped, considering what happened yesterday.
I sighed.
At that moment, I was tapped on the shoulder.
I turned around and there was Yuki.
She was a small, quiet-looking girl wearing red under-rimmed glasses.
Sakurai Yukino. Her nickname is Yuki. She is Kaho’s best friend.
“Yuki, It’s rare to see you in my class. Anything wrong?”
“Don’t ‘anything wrong’ me… You understand, don’t you?”
Yuki lowered her voice and put her mouth close to my ear.
It tickled a little.
It seems like it’s something that she doesn’t want anyone else to hear, and it probably has something to do with Kaho.
“Aki-kun, do you have time right now?”
“It’s fine if it’s a short matter.”
Yuki nodded and pulled my arm.
I was startled.
It was unusual for the quiet Yuki to do something so forceful.
I had no choice but to get up and follow Yuki.
We left the classroom, turned to the corner of the hallway, and entered the Biology lab.
It was a dimly lit, long, narrow room, and no one would surely come in here.
Yuki slammed the door shut and looked back at me.
The hem of her skirt swayed softly.
Then, Yuki approached me, poking her index finger at my chest.
“Yu-Yuki? What are you doing?”
“Why are you playing dumb? You hurt Kaho.”
“Did Kaho say something?”
“Kaho has been… down since this morning. She seemed really depressed. I asked her why, and she said, ‘Yesterday, I went to Haruto’s room, there he..’, she was about to say something, but then she stopped.”
“Did she say anything else?”
“She didn’t… say anything.”
Yuki shook her head a little sadly.
From Yuki’s point of view, I’m sure she would want her best friend Kaho to open up about everything to her.
But even Kaho wouldn’t go around telling everyone that Mikoto-san was at my house.
The short Yuki looked at me.
“Did you do something to Kaho, Aki-kun?”
“What do you mean?”
“It’s…you know, forcibly, doing… sexual things…”
Yuki said, her face reddening.
I pushed Kaho down or did something wrong when she came to my place, and she is depressed because of it.
Yuki seems to have misunderstood it as that.
I can’t believe it, I thought.
“I didn’t do anything like that.”
“But… judging by Kaho’s attitude, I’m pretty sure something happened at your house yesterday, Aki-kun.”
“I’m sure that’s true. But I can’t talk to you about it, Yuki.”
Yuki looked a little hurt.
“I’m your friend and you can’t tell me?”
“I’m sorry.”
“I’m helping you get along with Kaho, too.”
“That’s true, but I’m done with that.”
“What? W-Why?”
“Maybe Kaho is hurt because of me, I think.”
“As I thought, Aki-kun, you did do something to hurt Kaho yesterday?”
“I haven’t done anything that you might be imagining, Yuki. If you think I’m the kind of guy who would attack Kaho, Yuki, you should have been more alert around me.”
“Ehh?”
Yuki said and looked around.
We were alone in a small, dark room.
No one else was coming. The door was closed.
If I wanted to do something to her, there was nothing the small and powerless Yuki could do.
Yuki’s face turned even redder.
“B-But Aki-kun, you like Kaho, so you wouldn’t do anything to me…”
“Yuki, you might think so because you are earnest, but any high school boy would attack any pretty girl.”
“Do you think… I’m cute, Aki-kun?”
“? Well, yeah, I guess so.”
I think Yuki is plain but quite cute.
“In fact, my friends also said, ‘Sakurai-san, you are so lucky,’ and were envious of me for being able to casually talk to you, Yuki.”
Maybe not as much as Kaho or Mikoto-san.
…It’s rude to compare them like that. If the girls knew my inner thoughts, they would be furious.
I drove away the evil thoughts.
Yuki mumbled, “Hmmm,” and looked at me.
Then, with a huff, she hurriedly continued.
“A-Anyway, if you don’t make up with Kaho… it’s no good, okay? Even if you say you’re done with it, I won’t forgive you.”
“Why do you want me and Kaho to make up so badly, Yuki?”
“Because, You like Kaho, and I’m sure Kaho really likes you, too. She just can’t be honest about it.”
I don’t think so.
Yuki is Kaho’s best friend, but I don’t think she understands Kaho’s true feelings.
I won’t say that out loud, but….
“You know… I like Kaho when she is with you, Aki-kun, and when she calls you ‘Haruto’ in a sweet voice. Moreover, Kaho looks very happy when you are being kind to her. I want to look at that Kaho”
“Are you sure you just want to watch that only?”
I asked, and Yuki’s eyes widened a little.
Then she nodded vigorously.
“Yes, I’m very happy just to watch her.”
Yuki said this herself.
But is it true?
Yuki’s voice sounded forced, as if she was hiding her true feelings.
kaho is literally not explaining anything and its making the situation a lot worse
