Chapter 4 – The Young Lady Wants to Be More Intimate – Part 1
The morning after I became (sort of) married to Yasunomihara-san.
I was washing my face in the washroom when I got another wake-up call & pick-up from Natsume-san, and I put the hot towel she gave me on my head.
“I hope you had fun yesterday.”
“Is it about skipping class? I’m really sorry for involving Yasunomihara-san.”
“You are still a young couple. It doesn’t matter how many times you go off the road.”
Natsume-san, as ever, proceeds with the story as if we were married.
I rubbed my sleepy eyes and listened to her story.
“Don’t worry, we have taken care of the skipping class.”
As Natsume-san said, I skipped yesterday’s first period.
However, thanks to the mysterious power of the Yasunomihara family, the case was dropped. Otherwise, I would have been suspended.
Still, yesterday Yasunomihara-san looked so happy.
Well, I guess it’s only natural since she didn’t have to suffer any misfortune.
“It’s almost time. Please finish your breakfast and come to school.”
“I didn’t ask you to manage my schedule. I didn’t ask you to come here in the first place.”
“If an attempt is made on your life here, it would be the greatest danger to the Yasunomihara family. It is my mission to protect your life.”
Now that she’s said that, if I die, then Yasunomihara-san will also… Well, in other words, we’d have the same fate.
“I have already explained this to your mother. I am sorry for my selfish behavior.”
“So, what did my mother say?”
“She said, ‘OK’.”
One word for his son’s life… That’s how much she thinks of me…
It’s my mother. She must think it’s a joke.
“Yesterday, the young miss was in a very good mood. She was talking happily about Yasuda-sama at dinner.”
“She talked about me? To whom?”
“The president.”
“Then… Yuuka-san’s father?”
“Of course.”
…My stomach started to hurt.
I crouched down on the spot with my stomach in my hands.
Natsume-san was worried and rubbed my back.
“Are you alright? I have some tranquilizers that I keep on hand, if you’d like.”
“I don’t want that. What did the president say about me?”
“Nothing in particular.”
Uwaa… Judging from that reaction, things aren’t good.
“Yasuda-sama. It’s almost 8 o’clock.”
“Ah yes, I’ve got to get going.”
“Please wait.”
“What is it, this time?”
“I have a message for you from the young miss.”
“Message?”
“Never run away in front of me—that is all.”
It was just one sentence, but that one sentence has dozens of times more meaning.
“Thank you very much for taking the trouble, Natsume-san.”
“Shall we go then?”
✳︎✳︎
It was exactly the same situation as yesterday morning.
When I arrived at the high school, a limousine was already parked on the street and Natsume-san opened the door and Yasunomihara-san got out of it.
Today, instead of her usual straight hair, she had a ponytail tied in the back.
“Good morning, Tadakuni!”
I-I need to calm down… If I get embarrassed, I lose.
“G-Good morning, Yasunomihara-san.”
“I told you to call me Yuuka.”
“Well I’m still…embarrassed…”
“I don’t think you need to be embarrassed about it, though?”
While we were talking, a couple of gals appeared, just like yesterday.
“Good morning, Yuuka.”
Another exact same situation as yesterday.
What is a little different is the cold look that is directed at me from both of them.
“Hey, Yasuda-kun… What’s the matter with you? Since yesterday, you’ve been harassing Yuuka.”
“It’s not that kind of situation.”
“Yuuka, come on!”
The moment Yasunomihara-san was about to be pulled away by one of the gals, I was holding Yasunomihara-san’s other hand.
“I need to talk to her.”
The air was frozen.
Although I was undoubtedly thought to be saying something strange, thanks to Yasunomihara-san telling the gals with a smile, ‘Please go ahead,’ everything was resolved without incident.
“…You didn’t run away today.”
“Because you gave me a message not to…”
“Now that you’ve done it properly, shall I pat you on the head?”
“D-Don’t do that.”
Yasunomihara-san jumped and reached for my head.
I avoided it, covering my head with my hand.
“I’m already so embarrassed.”
Yasunomihara-san puffed out her cheeks but smiled and pulled her hand away.
“Are you going to skip class today as well?”
“If you do that every day, you’ll become even more stupid.”
“Fufu, that’s true.”
