Chapter 71: Dress-Up Doll
“This store seems the same as the last one.”
“Yeah.”
“That lady, she’s beautiful, but she doesn’t seem feminine at all.”
Whoa… Miko-chan is being so harsh on Kurose-san…
Even though Miko-chan is just a first grader, she’s being brutally honest as we follow Kurose-san into the second clothing store.
“Actually, now that I think about it, Motobu-kun seems troubled too. Maybe Kurose-san isn’t interested in clothes at all? I mean, she’s always in her uniform.”
“Oh… yeah, that’s true.”
The best part of shopping for clothes, especially for girls, is finding something you love. That’s what makes it fun.
Thinking about how you can mix and match with what you already have or imagining where you’ll wear it—it’s all part of the excitement.
It’s fun to ponder and enjoy the process.
Honestly, even if I don’t buy anything, it’s still enjoyable.
“Hmm… Kurose-san, she’s got such a great figure and is so beautiful, yet it feels like such a waste…”
“Hey, Amatsuka-chan, remember that Kurose-san is your rival in love, right? Are you losing it?”
“Miu-chan, did you hit your head?”
“Miko-chan being so harsh?! …Well, my head’s fine. It’s just, I can’t help but feel it’s a waste.”
It’s like having high-end ingredients in front of you but just leaving them in the fridge, neglected.
…I feel like my thoughts are becoming more like Motobu-kun’s lately.
“I’m going in.”
“What?! Wait—”
“Hey! Motobu-kun! Kurose-san! Hello~”
A dress-up doll who doesn’t care about clothes…
I want to dress her up in cute outfits and so many other things.
Because she would look good in absolutely anything, for sure.
I feel bad for dragging Miaki-chan along, as she sighs and follows me.
“Hello, Amatsuka-san.”
“Hello, Amatsuka-san.”
“Shopping?”
“Yes. Apparently, Kurose-san only has her uniform, and she’s coming to Okinawa with us, but just wearing a uniform would be a bit… you know.”
“I see.”
It doesn’t make sense that she only has a uniform, but I kind of get it now.
“To make things worse, she’s now saying she wants to prioritize functionality and wear work clothes, so I’m at a loss.”
“But wouldn’t those be practical for sneaking in things? They seem convenient.”
“Well, yes, work clothes are functional, that’s true.”
Eventually, Miaki-chan and Miko-chan joined us.
Miko-chan clung to Motobu-kun and stared at Kurose-san.
…It was probably something like, “He’s my husband,” a kind of territorial warning.
I can’t lose to Miko-chan…
I feel like she might actually take him away.
Not that I have the courage to do anything as bold as she does.
“If we coordinate Kurose-san’s outfits, it’ll look great.”
“I would appreciate your help. She doesn’t care about clothes herself.”
“Please take care of her.”
“Leave it to me.”
And so, I dressed Kurose-san up in outfit after outfit.
With such a great base, she looked amazing in everything.
And on top of that, she’s an E-cup.
It’s frustrating, but she even pulls off model-like clothes effortlessly.
“My stomach feels a bit chilly…”
“But you look so cute, Kurose-san!”
“Well, it’s summer, so it should be fine, right?”
“…I want to grow up soon too.”
Don’t worry, Miko-chan.
Your older sister has a good figure too.
But wow, this is so much fun.
I’m starting to think even gothic lolita outfits could work.
Her usual cool expression combined with such styles—it’s really alluring.
I even tried some fancy and cute clothes that high schoolers wouldn’t normally buy.
It’s dangerous—everything suits her way too well…
“Oh… this is pretty good too.”
“Amatsuka-san, you look like you’re having fun…”
“Of course!”
Also, her legs are so slim.
I don’t understand how she’s so athletic with legs like that.
“Even if we match it with this… yeah, it still looks good. It’s kind of sexy.”
“Um… Amatsuka-sa—”
“Let’s try this next! It’ll look so cute on you, I swear!!”
“O-okay.”
“I’ve never seen Amatsuka-san this lively before.”
“Amatsuka-chan loves this kind of thing.”
“Like a Rika-chan doll.”
After that, we continued dressing Kurose-san up in clothes for about two hours. I’m satisfied.

Chapter 72: Hello Okinawa ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و
“It really feels like Okinawa!”
“Well, because it is Okinawa.”
“This is my first time coming to Okinawa.”
“It’s my first time too. My skin is burning… the sun…”
“Come to think of it, this is our first time here as well.”
“…So hot… This is Okinawa.”
“Oh, this brings back memories. The last time I was here, I was in elementary school.”
“Yeah. It’s been a while since I’ve felt this heat.”
We had arrived in Okinawa.
Our group consisted of me, Chika, Manoka-san, Amatsuka-san, Miaki-chan, Miko-san, Kurose-san, and Toubaru, who had arrived a day earlier.
The student council, cooking club members, and our supervising teacher were scheduled to arrive tomorrow due to their schedules.
“Manoka-san, are you really okay driving?”
“I-I think I’ll be fine.”
We usually rent a compact car for traveling, but since there are more people this time, we rented a family car.
In Okinawa, where there’s no train system, cars are the main mode of transportation. However, since Manoka-san had never driven a larger vehicle before, she was a bit nervous.
“Let’s avoid the highway this time and take the scenic route to enjoy the sights.”
“Y-Yeah, let’s do that.”
I decided to sit in the passenger seat to help out.
Since Manoka-san works in sales, she’s used to driving her company’s compact car, so her driving shouldn’t be too dangerous. As long as she gets the hang of the timing and spacing, driving a family car shouldn’t be a problem—or at least, I hope so.
“Hey, Onii-chan, make sure to contact Yuri-nee when she arrives.”
“Alright, Chika, you’ll have to handle that.”
“Oh, right, I don’t have her contact info.”
“Chika-chan, Yuri-nee? Who’s that?”
“Yuri-nee is Onii-chan’s childhood friend, Miu-san. She lives nearby, and they used to have meals together a lot.”
“I see~”
The backseat was lively and full of chatter.
Well, aside from the Motobu family, it probably feels like a vacation for everyone, and I’d be happy if they could enjoy Okinawa to the fullest.
That said, I’m pretty focused on making sure nothing goes wrong. I guess this is what it feels like to be a guardian—responsibility is heavy.
I have all the parents’ contact information in case anything happens. It would be a hassle otherwise.
“Whoa… the sound of those fighter jets is intense.”
“You get used to it. They fly over all the time.”
“I don’t think I’ll ever get used to it. My ears are ringing.”
If that’s the case, it’s probably good that Toubaru wasn’t born in Okinawa.
Back in elementary school, teachers would have to stop their lessons because of the fighter jets flying overhead. They even fly at night sometimes.
“It’s scary not being able to see behind me… I never realized how frightening it is not being able to see the back while driving.”
“You really can’t see anything with all the luggage back there.”
We rented a car with a backup camera to account for this, so parking in reverse isn’t an issue.
But I didn’t expect it would be this much of a problem while driving.
It seems there are challenges that only drivers can understand.
“Miaki-chan! Look! The ocean!!”
“The ocean.”
Amatsuka-san and the others were already getting excited, looking at the sea through the windows.
They seem to be having fun.
“For lunch, let’s stop by Enda, and then grab some ice cream at Blue Seal. After that, we’ll head to my family’s place.”
“Blue Seal!”
“I want chocolate mint ice cream!”
“Okinawan ice cream… I want to get some ideas for future desserts.”
“Motobu-san, what’s ‘Enda’?”
Kurose-san asked about Enda.
What’s with that expression? She looks a little cute, doesn’t she?
She usually seems so calm, but when she tilts her head and asks like that, isn’t it a bit too adorable?
I kind of want to punch myself for finding it so charming.
“Enda is a fast-food place called A&W. It’s kind of like McDonald’s in Okinawa. Though, of course, there are regular McDonald’s here too.”
“Isn’t it only in Okinawa now?”
“That’s what I’ve heard.”
When I was a kid, they were everywhere, and I remember being surprised when I found out there were none after moving to Tokyo.
Apparently, they used to be in places like Tokyo too.
With its strong American influence, Okinawa’s food culture is also unique.
Or rather, it’s supposed to be unique. I can’t really tell what’s different though.
Nowadays, in most developed countries, you can find Italian or French cuisine, so it’s hard to define what makes Okinawan food so distinct.
“I was so excited for this trip that I couldn’t sleep well last night.”
“…Be careful of heatstroke and sunburn, okay?”
“You too, Motobu-kun.”
Amatsuka-san, who was sitting behind me in the passenger seat, spoke to me, and when I turned around, her face was close to mine, making my heart race.
Amatsuka’s close-up smile is bad for my heart…
