- A Story About a Blonde Gal Angel Who Excessively Praises My Cooking. After Asking Me to Teach Her How to Cook, Feelings of Mutual Love Began to Grow
- Chapter 126 - Let's Visit Tomitsugu's House (1)
“…So this is Tomitsugu-senpai’s house…”
It’s huge. Simply huge.
It looks like a mansion.
“From what I imagined of Tomitsugu-senpai, I thought even if it were a big house, it would be more Western-style.”
From the gate, long white walls stretch endlessly on both sides, and the roof visible above the gate is covered in heavy tiles like something out of a historical drama.
Since coming to Tokyo, I’ve mostly seen apartments and condos, so this feels novel. Maybe it feels even more unique because I haven’t done much sightseeing.
“Welcome, Motobu.”
“Hello, Tomitsugu-senpai.”
“It’s such an old-fashioned house, isn’t it?”
“If this house is considered old-fashioned, then the rental places we live in are practically dog houses.”
“That’s one way to look at it. Sorry for that.”
“Not at all.”
Tomitsugu-senpai’s casual outfit somehow seemed out of place compared to the traditional Japanese-style house. Though it’s just my own bias, I couldn’t help but imagine someone stepping out of this house wearing a hakama or a kimono.
Tomitsugu-senpai is wearing yellow skinny pants, a white dress shirt, and a pink knit sweater. She usually ties her red hair up in a ponytail, but it seems she lets it down when she’s at home. The different atmosphere gave her a more alluring look.
The skinny pants and knit sweater emphasized her good figure, highlighting her slender legs, large chest, and curvy waistline beautifully.
“I have a detached building, so I’ll show you there.”
“You have a separate building? That’s amazing.”
“I had it built at my mother’s request. I find it a hassle whenever I have to face my father.”
“…I see.”
Sounds like there’s a lot going on.
Come to think of it, most of the people around me seem to have complicated family situations. Well, mine isn’t so simple either.
“It looks like something out of a historical drama.”
“It’s just old-fashioned, nothing good about it.”
I followed Tomitsugu-senpai along the gravel path. The beautifully balanced bonsai, the well-manicured trees, and the pond where koi fish swam all caught my eye.
In this fairly upscale residential district of Tokyo, Tomitsugu-senpai’s house stood on a surprisingly large plot of land. Just how rich is her family?
Well, I did get the sense she was from a wealthy background when we first met.
“This is my detached building. It’s practically my own house.”
“…This detached building looks so modern, it’s out of place.”
“I’m not really into traditional Japanese-style things. Let’s go inside quickly; it’s cold.”
“Uh, okay. Excuse me.”
Even though she called it a detached building, it’s about the size of an ordinary house.
From a quick glance, it looks like it could easily be a 3-bedroom place.
You’re living too luxuriously, Tomitsugu-senpai.
“Tomitsugu-senpai, it’s nothing much, but here’s a little something for you.”
“Thanks. Now that I think about it, you’re actually the first person to come to my detached building, so this is also the first time anyone’s brought me a gift.”
“…Really? I’m glad then.”
Tomitsugu-senpai doesn’t really have friends, does she? She probably doesn’t invite people over often.
“For now, just sit in the living room.”
“Okay.”
Even the living room was as spacious and comfortable as one you’d find in a regular house. And I couldn’t help but feel excited at the sight of the sleek, modern kitchen visible from the living room.
The shelves and drawers exuded functional beauty, and there were countless jars of spices neatly organized.
Tomitsugu-senpai tied her red hair into a ponytail with a practiced hand, put on an apron, and stood in the kitchen.
Why does she give off such a housewife vibe? It’s oddly…seductive.
“If you’re bored, feel free to play some games while you wait.”
“Uh, Tomitsugu-senpai?”
“What?”
“Could I take a quick look at your kitchen?”
“…Sure, but don’t touch anything, okay?”
“I won’t. I know better than that.”
The kitchen was spotless, not a speck of dirt in sight. The shelves, drawers, and the latest oven all shone with functional beauty. Even at a glance, I could see the abundance of cooking tools.
Despite being just a detached building, it had three burners on the stove and a massive refrigerator.
The way Tomitsugu-senpai moved smoothly around the kitchen without hesitation made it clear how often she used it.
“Is it that interesting to look at?”
“Yes. I can tell you took great care of this kitchen.”
“…I see. You have a good eye for things. I’ll give you that.”
Though Tomitsugu-senpai still had her usual prickly expression, it seemed she was happy to receive praise for her kitchen.
“Motobu, if you’re that free, why don’t you help out?”
“Is that okay?”
“Well, if it’s you, I don’t mind.”
“Thank you.”
I washed my hands and pulled out the apron I always carry with me, then joined her in the kitchen.
This is exciting.
A good kitchen really does feel like something to aspire to.
“Then can you prepare this for me?”
“Got it.”
The knife was razor-sharp and well-used, clearly maintained with care.
“Here, taste this.”
Tomitsugu-senpai lifted a spoonful of sauce to my mouth.
“This is delicious. I can taste a hint of lime, which gives it a refreshing flavor.”
“…Lime was supposed to be the secret ingredient…”
It seems the sauce was for carpaccio. Though she looked a bit frustrated, Tomitsugu-senpai tasted it herself to check.
“Sorry for the unnecessary comment.”
“Well, since you’re a junior who makes it worth cooking, I’ll let it slide.”
“Thank you.”
Although she looked somewhat displeased, it seemed she was still willing to let me continue helping her with the cooking.
“By the way, why are you taller than me? It’s annoying.”
“I’m not that tall for a guy.”
“Still, it bothers me.”
“Well, you’re a girl, so I think it’s fine.”
“It’s not fine. I don’t want you looking down on me.”
“I’m not looking down on you, don’t worry.”
“Your very existence is already looking down on me. Shrink a bit, would you?”
“…Like this?”
“Lower your head. That’s better.”
As she looked down at me with a grin, I couldn’t help but think, what a personality she has…
“This position is tiring.”
“Hey! Why are you standing up straight again? Shrink back down!”
With her hands full, she lightly bumped me with her hip. It’s dangerous to play around with knives in the kitchen.
Well, since both Tomitsugu-senpai and I are used to cooking, it should be fine.
“Actually, it feels kind of good looking down at you, Senpai.”
“…You cheeky junior.”
“I’m sorry. Please forgive me.”
She huffed in annoyance but continued cooking. Even so, being able to witness her efficient cooking and learn methods I didn’t know was a great experience.
