Chapter 1: A normal but late everyday.
NAGI! IS THE WORK COMPLETE YET?!
NAGI! WHERE ARE MY PAPERS!
NAGI! FINISH MY WORK BEFORE! THEY ARE MORE IMPORTANT!
NAGI! …
NAGI! …
NAGIIIIII !!!! …
“And the best employee of the month goes to the manager Sena-san.”
“AAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH———” “tiriririririririri”
“Haaah —- Haaah —— Haaah”
I held my head.
I felt exhausted.
I take a look to the left of my bed, the alarm clock was ringing loudly with a time where I can’t take it easy anymore.
Unwillingly, I rose from my bed, sloppily went at the calender, changed the red colored marker from Sunday to Monday and went to the washroom.
Turning on the electric rod, I let the water go hot in the bathtub while I go and brush my teeth.
“Today’s weather forecast, there can be heavy rain in various places including Narita, Naoto, Kyoto, and the upper regions on Tokyo. … We advise you to keep an umbrella with yourself just in case. …”
I glanced at that while brushing my teeth, *tiriri* as the timer for the brushing end, I rinsed my teeth.
By that time, yet another bell rang as I walked into the bathroom.
My tub was hot enough.
“Nnn …Ahhh~”
I don’t have the luxury to buy those advanced and costly appliances. But, life goes on with these through what I presently have.
There was a time when I had a girlfriend. But looking at my lifestyle, she was so creeped out … Well, the amount of alarm clocks can? Probably? Creep out people… Maybe, disgusted would be a better word. For just after a week of living together, she couldn’t take it anymore.
It would probably be a shock for anyone out there. But given the amount of hints she showed from the first day itself, it was no wonder that it was a matter of days until she left me.
Truthfully, life went toxic with her right after she moved in. So I am glad she left. But still, her company at times did make me feel laugh and loved.
I dump my head into the bathtub. Then uplift and place a towel over my head, starting the timer of yet another clock.
These clocks were my only haven. I am able to relax everyday. They are inanimate, so they won’t betray me. And since they are pre-programmed, there isn’t any complain either.
I close my eyes, relaxing to that refreshing hot water bath.
I was really tired. Because it was right after the end of the project deadline yesterday, I wasn’t able to take much rest. I had to continue working for the whole weekend. It’s fortunate that I didn’t have to stay over at office yet, but truly, I was just exhausted.
“UhnnNN! Haaaaah~”
I stretched my arms and legs forward and let that hot water seep and relax my body from pore to pore.
…*——ririririri
“Hmm?”
—-ririririririr
“HMMM????”
I shook up straight from my tub and turned left with incredible motions.
The clock was showing a time that looked delusional.
10—20—30—35 …mins!?
“Oh God Oh God Oh God OH GOD!”
I hurried out of the tub, but as a matter of fact, my leg slipped up and I landed on my forehead.
It bled a little.
But,
“I GOT TO HURRY!”
