Chapter 37: The Amusement Park, an Unknown Realm ☆
“…Uuu, I’m sorry, I’m sorry…”
Muttering apologies, Yuki lies on a bench, her head on Yukari-san’s lap.
The earlier roller coaster was tougher on her than expected, leaving her dizzy. So, she’s resting with Yukari-san’s lap as a pillow.
“That roller coaster was intense… how are you two so calm…?”
Calming down, Yuki questions us. For me, the thrill outweighed the fear, but maybe not for her.
“Um, I’m kind of good with thrill rides… so it was just right… sorry about that.”
Hearing Yukari-san, Yuki sinks deeper into her thighs, as if feeling defeated. Slightly jealous, I’m predictably vulgar.
“…Yukari-san, thank you… ugh, so pathetic…”
After a while, Yuki sits up. Her color’s back to normal, relieving me, but I worry if she’ll be okay.
“Sorry, Shun-nii, for making it weird,” she says. I reply, “N-No, it’s okay. Take it slow.” Obviously, I don’t want her to push herself.
“…No, I’m fine now! Let’s go? Maybe something calmer, though.”
She seems slightly apologetic but back to her usual self. Urged on, Yukari-san and I start moving through the park again.
Eating soft-serve ice cream and trying attractions, Yuki’s fully recovered. Her smiling face makes me happiest—she’s a bright sister far too good for me.
We decide to ride the teacups. Like other attractions, it’s not crowded, and we’re guided in quickly.
Yukari-san says, “I’ll watch from outside,” but Yuki pushes her to join. Riding teacups with two women is something I never imagined.
The interior is spacious, so we shouldn’t be too close, but we’re nearer than usual. I need to stay calm, I think.
“Shun-nii, I’m scooting closer, okay?”
Despite my resolve, Yuki moves toward me. With plenty of space, she leans her shoulder against mine. It’s a self-spinning ride, so facing each other would make sense, yet…
Her arm brushes mine, her shoulder too, and I catch a soft scent. That alone makes my heart race, but her open neckline reveals her smooth skin clearly.
“Yuki, isn’t that… close…?”
“N-No way… it’s fine, right?”
She moved closer herself but seems shy, her intent unclear. Her shoulder brings her skin nearer, and looking down at her white top, I glimpse her slightly raised chest.
I shouldn’t think weirdly in this moment, but as I try to calm down, a voice comes from the other side.
“Um, Shun-sama…”
Yukari-san sounds awkward. Maybe I made her uncomfortable.
As I think that, she moves closer too—not as much as Yuki, but close enough for her arm to touch, letting me feel her softness and floral scent.
“…Fufu, let’s spin, then?”
Yuki, watching, grabs the handle. Isn’t it hard to spin like this? But she seems happy, so I can’t interfere.
Yukari-san and I touch the handle, but Yuki does most of the spinning. After the roller coaster, she might be holding back, but I’m so tense from being sandwiched between them, I can barely breathe. Cute faces on both sides feel like a dream, and my heart won’t stop pounding.
“Sh-Shun-sama, sorry… I got a bit close… was that okay?”
After the ride, Yukari-san asks apologetically. I recall her saying the same when we got close early in this world, but I shouldn’t dwell on it.
“…I’m fine with it, but… are you okay, Yukari-san…?”
She blushes but replies, “I’m fine… th-thank you…” Did she move closer to boost my confidence? I speculate wildly.
“Hmm, I see, got it…”
Yuki looks at us, thoughtful for a moment, then smiles. She’s enjoying herself, but her intent is hard to read.
We return to the car to head to the next area. Yuki carries badminton gear, Yukari-san a small cooler bag.
She even prepared lunch for today, as she always cooks for us.
“If you two enjoy it, I’m really happy!”
She says, but it’s clearly a burden. Feeling guilty, I try to show care.
“…Um, Yukari-san… it’s not much for the lunch, but if there’s anything I can do, please tell me. Not just now, at home too… I’ll do anything.”
I don’t know what I can do, but I thought I could help with chores if she wants.
“…Anything, Shun-sama…”
Yukari-san seems deep in thought, then shakes her head, bunbun, meeting my eyes.
“No, being with you two is enough to make me happy!”
Her endlessly kind words make Yuki beam, and I feel a gentle calm.
We move to the nature park area, eating lunch at a wooden table. The packed lunch is even fancier than my school ones.
Eating together makes it taste better. It’s a shame Mom’s not here, but I indulge in a lavish wish for a picnic with all four of us someday.
The nature park has some playground equipment but is mostly a vast field. Families and groups of girls dot the sprawling grassland.
“Okay, Shun-nii! Let’s play badminton!”
Yuki hands me a racket from her bag. We only have two, so Yukari-san just watches.
I worry she’s bored, but she looks happy watching our rally. Yuki enjoys it too, sometimes serious but always smiling.
Her vibe is like a new couple’s. Dating a girl like her would be a dream in reality, and even now, my situation feels unbelievable.
Still, Yuki directs her smile at me. After rallying with the innocent beauty, she says, “Okay, switch?” and hands the racket to Yukari-san.
Yukari-san hesitates but gives in to Yuki’s insistence, facing me.
“Thank you… please.”
Her shy reaction is adorable, and this privileged badminton feels like a once-in-a-lifetime chance.
Is this what a college couple’s date feels like? I think, rallying with her.
Initially tense, Yukari-san gradually relaxes, her expression easing into a natural smile. Already stunning, she looks especially cute now.
Playing with such a woman is another joyful moment. Though, her blouse’s bulge sways, tempting my heart.
Lost in thought, my focus slips, and a poko sound rings from my cheek.
Yukari-san’s shuttle hits my distracted face. It’s a soft, falling shot, so it doesn’t hurt much.
“…Ah! Shun-sama, are you okay?!”
She rushes to me, standing still. A housekeeper injuring her employer would be serious.
“…Sorry, I was spacing out. It doesn’t hurt, I’m fine… my fault.”
“No! I’m so sorry… if it left a mark…”
She touches my cheek to check. There’s no mark or pain, but her soft hand makes my heart jump.
“…Looks okay… good…”
Realizing she’s touching me, she gasps, “Ah!” and pulls her hand back.
“S-Sorry! I touched you without permission…”
I know she’s worried, but I can’t help being aware of her, and her hand’s touch lingers on my cheek.
A strange, sweet air flows as we lock eyes. This doesn’t suit me.
“…Shun-nii! Wanna play again?”
Yuki’s voice breaks the odd mood, and I’m honestly grateful. We rally more, sometimes lie on the grass, and enjoy ourselves.
Yukari-san joins occasionally, looking happy. Like a reliable older sister watching over us, her presence alone is comforting.
Despite my tension, it’s a peaceful, kind time. After playing, we put our things in the car and return to the amusement park area.
“Hmm, what next…?”
Yuki mutters beside me, pondering our next move. With low crowds, we’ve ridden many attractions.
On thrill rides, Yuki grabbed my arm, thrilling me, and she fed me yakisoba from a stall, creating memories. Yukari-san watched, smiling.
“…Okay, here!”
Yuki points to a creepy building with tattered curtains—an haunted house.
“Y-Yeah… sounds good.”
My voice trembles, but I won’t refuse her. I handled thrill rides, but ghosts and horror aren’t my forte.
Yukari-san agrees, and we enter. It’s a walk-through haunted house, quite dark inside.
The narrow path makes us closer than before. Yuki’s arm constantly brushes mine.
“K-Kinda intense… hyaa!”
A sudden noise startles Yuki, and she grabs my arm. Her action surprises me more than the sound.
Footsteps echo behind, adding to the atmosphere. It’s scary, I think, as Yuki takes my hand, gripping it gyu.
She’s probably scared, so I suppress my embarrassment and keep holding. I wonder what Yukari-san thinks.
Glancing back, she’s a bit farther behind, maybe giving us sibling space.
“…Shun-nii… it’s kinda scary.”
Yuki clings to my arm. It’s too dark to see her face, but she must be frightened. As her brother, I can’t pull away.
But her funifuni chest is undeniable, and the darkness sharpens my senses. By the time we reach the exit, my mind’s at its limit.
“Phew, that was scary, huh.”
In the light, I can finally see Yuki’s face. I thought she’d look terrified, but she seems fine.
“Yuki, you okay?”
“…Yeah, fine. Thanks.”
She smiles softly.
But her quiet “…Sorry” afterward—I don’t understand it and can’t ask.
“…Um, Yukari-san, can we talk?”
As the sun starts to set and we near our last attraction, Yuki takes Yukari-san aside, whispering secretly.
Soon, Yuki runs back.
“Sorry for the wait, Shun-nii. Wanna ride the Ferris wheel last?”
She takes my hand. Yukari-san follows at a slight distance. My heart races holding a girl’s hand, and we reach the Ferris wheel entrance.
“I’ll wait here.”
Yukari-san says, and Yuki nods. They must’ve discussed this.
Riding the Ferris wheel alone with a girl—I didn’t expect this. Should I ask why she wants to ride together?
As I ponder, the gondola door closes quietly with us inside.
