Even though he tried to pull himself together, the fact that his mom was watching kept throwing him off balance. Kishido Sachi, Yuu’s mother, discovered an artifact in what seemed to be the deepest part of the dungeon. Artifacts were items that granted supernatural effects, and it was said that once obtained, a person would intuitively understand how they worked and what they did. Even on a global scale, very few artifacts had been discovered. And when they were, it was a universally accepted rule that they belonged to the state.

When Sachi picked up the artifact, she immediately felt its effect pouring into her.

“‘Rejuvenation’…! Ah, there’s no way I can report this to the government…”

In the next instant, she used the artifact without the slightest hesitation. The rejuvenation effect reversed her age by roughly fifteen years. The full effect would take about a year to manifest.

Incidentally, after the Chihuahua S6 Dungeon investigation, she filed a false report stating: “No notable discoveries in unexplored areas. Same for the deepest level.” She prioritized her moderately insane desire to remain beside her beloved son over the extreme risk of capital punishment.
