Chapter 12 – Moonshadow Goddess’s Heartbreak
“Eh?”
“So yeah. We’re breaking up.”
The guy said that. Akira’s mind went blank. The Moonshadow Goddess had just been hit with rejection from the one boy she loved.
“Why…?”
“I fell for someone else.”
Apparently a girl cuter than the Moonshadow Goddess. No way she could accept it. But the guy had already written her off as over. So Akira couldn’t believe it.
‘I love you, Akira.’
The boy who had said that to her — was it all a lie? With the same mouth that told her he loved her, he said “I like another girl now.” Why? You said you liked me, right? Without any real commitment? Just to toy with me?
“Then I’ll ask the same from her too.”
The boy she loved. The boy who said he loved her. She called him.
“Hello?”
“Huh? Akira? We broke up, so don’t call me.”
“I’m going to jump off a building rooftop right now.”
“!?”
“If you want to stop me, come to the building and hold me tight.”
She knew it was impossible. But to win back his love she had no bigger chip to play than her own life.
“If you don’t come, I’m seriously going to jump.”
With that resolve Akira stood at the edge of the building rooftop.
“Heh. Then die?”
The guy’s reply was just as casual. How much he actually believed she was standing on that rooftop was anyone’s guess. It was at the level of ‘if you want to die then die.’ Pure logic, no responsibility. So Akira jumped.
“Whatever. I got dumped anyway.”
And so Akira jumped, immediately caught by gravity and fell. About to slam into the ground at twenty kilometers per second — when one boy saved her. A guy so handsome it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call him super ikemen. Apparently… it was Fushimi Nevada. After that, Akira came to Nevada — meaning me — to talk about how her ex dumped her and she tried to kill herself. Even if you’re called the Moonshadow Goddess, getting dumped by a guy hurts pretty bad. But that was when Akira finally found true love.
“Nevada-kun♡”
The person who saved her life. The person who caught her falling suicide attempt in a princess carry. So Nevada-kun… meaning me, became nothing less than the prince on a white horse to Akira.
“Hmm hmm.”
And that’s how I ended up with Akira falling for me. She started clinging to me at school, forbidding me from talking to other girls, loving me at full throttle with her extreme Akira-style.
“Hmm.”
By dramatizing Akira’s heartbreak and our subsequent romance into a novel, we got a decent plot.
Then we ate the mizutaki. Me, Akira. And Sabakutani Eri.
“Mm— It’s delicious.”
“I’m glad Akira isn’t a terrible cook.”
“You thought I was bad at cooking?”
“It’s the heroine’s privilege.”
We ate the chicken and the spring chrysanthemum leaves.
“So we just need to add more drama to this and turn it into a 30,000-character novel, right?”
“Yes.”
Then all that’s left is writing. I’m in charge of the actual writing. Akira handles ideas. As for Eri, I don’t even know why she’s here.
“That’s why right now I’m in love with Nevada, okay?”
“I didn’t really do anything though.”
“You caught me when I jumped in a princess carry, didn’t you?”
“Is that really enough?”
“It’s more than enough for a maiden to fall in love.”
“I see~”
I kind of get the feeling. When the person you like saves you, you can’t help but fall for them. I saved the falling Akira with a princess carry. Akira wasn’t someone who wouldn’t think about that.
“Nevada♡ …Nevadaaa♡”
While eating mizutaki Akira leaned in and kissed me. Of course Eri was right beside us.
“Nevada-kun is my prince. The best prince who will make Princess Akira happy.”
Not really that big of a deal though.
“Then let’s turn this into a dramatic 30,000-character novel.”
“The plot is already done so it’s not that hard.”
If I actually sit down to write it, I can.
“Our love story is definitely winning the Naoki Prize!”
She doesn’t actually have that level of writing skill though.
“But because Nevada-kun saved me… that’s why I’m here now.”
“Nevada… mwah♡”
Akira seriously declared her love for me while Eri, completely unnoticed in Akira’s vision, kissed me and slipped her tongue into my mouth for a deep kiss. She licked up my saliva, but since she wasn’t perceived I just calmly listened to Akira’s feelings of love.
“Alright, edit it like that.”
“Yessir.”
And so that’s how it went.
A girl betrayed by her boyfriend. A mysterious boy who saved her. The boy’s identity was the transfer student. Their deepening love. The jealous ex-boyfriend who envies the lovey-dovey couple.
“You’re mine!”
The guy with lingering attachment aggressively approaches the girl.
“What are you doing here now?”
The current boyfriend — meaning me — saves the troubled girl.
“No! I already have someone I love!”
“Doesn’t matter! Come back to being my woman.”
The selfish guy’s argument. Then the ‘me’ in the story solves it with violence.
“I love you, Akira.”
“I love you too, Nevada-kun.”
After removing the nuisance, me and Akira get a happy ending. They lived happily ever after until death do them part. The end. Of course this alone won’t reach 30,000 characters, so we’ll add more dramatization. But overall we can develop it into a pretty heavy love comedy like this.
“By the way, why did that guy dump Akira?”
“He said he fell for someone else.”
Netorare~ Netorare~.
“What do you think, Eri?”
“No way! Also this mizutaki is delicious.”
Akira said while eating chicken.
“Alright, then we’ll submit this to Andou-senpai.”
“Won’t she get mad?”
“It’s a love comedy based on real events. Kinda.”
“Right now I’m completely devoted to Nevada, you know?”
The contradiction of Akira who loves me so much not noticing Eri kissing me.
“I never thought I’d get caught in a princess carry after jumping.”
Her side-eye rejection ability picks up too many unnecessary things. Well, at least Akira didn’t smash into the ground and die, so that alone was a relief for me. Namusan.
