Chapter 25: I’m a Villain, But I’m Just Sitting in the Cafeteria… Right? (Not Really) – Second Half
“Oh my, so we really do have boys in this school now~!”
“And both of them are such cuties.”
“How about dating my daughter?”
“Or… maybe you’d prefer an older woman?”
As I picked up my food and made my way back to our table, I awkwardly smiled while brushing off the cafeteria ladies’ teasing remarks.
On the way, Minato randomly praised me, saying “Reito, you’re amazing…” for some reason.
But since it was a compliment, I didn’t bother asking why.
We put our hands together and said “Itadakimasu” before starting our meal.
“This is amazing!”
The moment I took a bite of my katsu curry, the words slipped out instinctively.
The curry had just the right amount of spice, and the tonkatsu’s crispy coating crunched perfectly as I bit into it.
The juicy flavor of the meat spread across my mouth, perfectly balanced by the fluffy white rice.
This wasn’t just a school cafeteria meal—this was restaurant-quality.
“This omurice is really good too!”
Sitting across from me, Minato smiled while holding up his spoon.
…The big heart-shaped ketchup design on his omurice?
Yeah, I wasn’t going to comment on that.
“How about you, Nako? Is yours good?”
“Y-Yes.”
Nako gave a small nod.
She had ordered meat udon, probably keeping it light since she planned to get dessert later.
I was about to take another bite of my katsu curry when I suddenly stopped.
At this rate, I was going to finish everything before I remembered to share.
I should give Minato his portion now before it’s too late.
“Minato, this katsu curry is really good. Try some.”
I scooped up a spoonful and held it out to him.
But instead of taking it, Minato just stared at me in shock, completely frozen.
“R-Reito? What… are you doing?”
“Huh? What do you mean? I’m giving you some katsu curry.”
“You’re… offering it to me on your spoon?”
“Yeah? I mean, we agreed I’d share, didn’t we?”
“So… you’re feeding me?”
“Uh, yeah…?”
“……Um.”
“Huh…?”
Both Minato and I tilted our heads in confusion.
…Something wasn’t adding up here.
Didn’t he say he wanted to try both omurice and katsu curry?
That’s why I ordered katsu curry so I could share it with him, right?
So obviously, I’d scoop some up and hand it to him.
That was just common sense.
“W-Wait, are they seriously offering to do an aahh~ moment between two guys…?”
“Are those two… that kind of relationship…?”
“It’s obvious who’s the top and who’s the bottom.”
“A girl interfering in BL is punishable by death… which means I’ll take my place as a silent observer.”
The cafeteria felt oddly noisy, but maybe that was just because it was lunchtime.
“Hurry, it tastes best while it’s still hot.”
I held out the spoon toward Minato, but he just sat there, fidgeting, staring at it.
…Wait.
Maybe the omurice was so good that he didn’t feel like eating katsu curry anymore?
I mean, that happens sometimes—you get hooked on one flavor and don’t want to switch.
“If you don’t want it, I won’t force you—”
“N-No! I-It’s not that! I-I’ll eat it!”
And then, Minato took a bite.
…Somehow, this felt like feeding a puppy.
“Mmm! So good!”
“Glad to hear it.”
His face lit up as he happily chewed.
Well, of course—it’s katsu curry.
Then, I happened to glance at Shizune, who was sitting next to Minato…
She blinked a few times in surprise before staring straight at me.
“Hazumi-sama… you’re quite an unusual man.”
“Huh? Unusual?”
Was she talking about the fact that I ordered both katsu curry and ramen?
I mean, if you could upgrade miso soup to ramen for just 50 yen, obviously, you’d go for it.
“I don’t think it’s anything special.”
“You think this is normal…?”
“Yeah.”
“…Most men don’t casually do an aahh~ moment like that. And more importantly, they wouldn’t do something that stands out this much in a room full of women.”
“…?”
Shizune muttered something under her breath.
I was curious about what she said, but since I hadn’t raised her favorability yet, asking now probably wouldn’t get me an answer.
Meanwhile, Minato was happily eating, so I took another bite of my katsu curry.
Yep—delicious!
“Oh, right. Nako, do you want some katsu curry too?”
“Eh?”
At my sudden offer, Nako, who was about to eat her udon, froze mid-motion, her chopsticks stopping in place.
“At least try the katsu. It’s really good.”
I switched from my spoon to chopsticks and held out a piece of katsu toward Nako.
“R-Reito-san?”
“Hm?”
“A-Are you… feeding me too?”
“Yeah. Good food should be shared, right?”
“Um… I feel like you’re misunderstanding something, so let me rephrase it.”
“Huh?”
“Are you seriously doing an aahh~ moment with me too?”
…That aahh~ part sounded way too cute.
“Well, I can’t just place the katsu on top of your udon, can I?”
If I did that, the crispy coating would get soaked in the broth, and that would be a complete waste.
I held out the katsu, waiting for Nako, who hesitated for a moment before giving a small nod.
“T-T-Then… I-I’ll have some…”
“Alright. Here, go ahead.”
Nako leaned forward and took a small bite of the katsu.
“I-It’s delicious…”
“Glad to hear it.”
Yup—sharing good food is always fun.
“Oh my, then could I get an aahh~ moment as well?”
“Huh? Well… I guess I don’t mind.”
Did Shizune want to try the katsu curry too?
Since she had ordered a set meal, I placed a piece of katsu in one of her empty side dishes.
“…”
She glanced between the katsu and me a few times before finally taking a bite.
…What was that reaction about?
“Wait, so if I ask, will I get an aahh~ moment too?”
“Honestly, I’d rather feed him the frankfurter I’m eating right now.”
“Okay, that’s way too suggestive.”
“Hmm, I’d rather be the one he eats.”
The cafeteria remained as chaotic as ever.
After finishing our desserts, we finally had a moment to relax.
That’s when Minato spoke up.
“You know, Reito, you don’t seem scared or nervous at all.”
He didn’t specify what he meant, but…
He was probably talking about how I was getting so much attention in the cafeteria.
“Why would I be scared? I mean, people are just looking. It’s not like they’re going to attack me or anything.”
If anything, the only real threats around here were…
The three people sitting at this very table.
If I were to get dragged into some kind of trouble, it would definitely involve the protagonist and the heroines.
As that thought crossed my mind, I took a sip of my hot coffee.
“““……”””
…Huh?
Why did all three of them suddenly go silent?
“Reito-san, whenever you go to the cafeteria again, I’ll be coming with you.”
“M-Me too! I won’t let you go alone, Reito!”
“In that case, it seems I shall be accompanying you as well.”
The three of them said this with serious expressions.
…Looks like they really enjoyed the cafeteria.

A delicate-looking boy with silky blond hair styled in an undercut mash cut, and gentle light blue eyes.
