- A Childhood Friend, Reunited After 10 Years Acts Deredere With Me
- Chapter 14 - Omen
“Damn it! Why are you so damn fast, you monster!”
This guy who can’t pull it off without multiple feints is a monster enough, but I guess I’m more of a monster in relative terms.
“Ha-ha-ha! Look, your crotch is open!”
“W-Wha!?”
The ball goes under the crotch and directly into the goal. It curves and goes into the place we designated as the goal.
Akira stares at the scene, stunned.
“Damn it! I failed! I’m going to do it again! Let’s do it again!”
“How many times have you done this?”
I’ve already done this about 20 times and this is the first time I haven’t lost once. My body is moving very well today.
Akira takes the ball, throws it to me, traps it on his chest, and starts lifting it with his head.
“Hey, why don’t you join the soccer team? Even if you don’t, why don’t you join the track team or something?”
Well, speed and strength are the foundation of soccer. That’s why I trained them in elementary and junior high school, and I have a record of 11 seconds in the 100-meter run.
“I don’t like club activities, and I can’t go to morning practice at 6:30 a.m. or so.”
We enjoyed our one-on-one time again.
“Mufu… Sora shining with sweat… Jyururi…” (she’s salivating)
“!?”
Needless to say, with voices like that from time to time and a spine-chilling stare even though it’s close to summer, the attacks stopped.
………
……
…
It was lunchtime and we were forced to be self-sufficient. We were not forced to live on a deserted island, but were given money and told to decide what to cook and what to buy.
We went into a big kitchen to make curry. I was in charge of peeling potatoes.
But then…
“You…”
“Really, this is…”
“It’s too much…”
I can hear everyone’s dismay in their voices.
“Quit it! I’ll get depressed!”
“Ahhh, Sora is falling apart, isn’t he?”
“No, but he’s peeled off your entire body and there’s hardly anything left. If he’s such a monster at soccer, why does he have such a lousy sense of cooking?”
“Gufu!
Akira, who should have beaten me in a one-on-one match earlier, gives me a bad rap, but Shunya follows up.
“But it’s okay, isn’t it? He’s a pretty smart guy, and on top of that, he’s a professional soccer player. Sora, how tall are you now?”
“I think the last time I measured it was 182…”
That is an undeniable fact. I really wanted 190, but I gave up because it was impossible.
“He is quite tall and well built. His face is just below the top of the class. It’s no wonder guys don’t like him, but come on, let’s see what’s wrong with the Sora, starting with Akira.”
Hey, hey, hey, hey… I don’t think you’re going to find many of those, are you? I’m a high-spec guy, you see.
“Cooking is devastating.”
“Fear of heights.”
“Fear of the dark.”
“Surprisingly poor communicator.”
“Terrible at art.”
“Same in home economics.”
Can I cry? Hey? Can I cry? I’m already crying here. If there was nobody here, I’d be crying.
They’re saying quite a bit huh. I thought it would be just one or two things…?
“O-Ok… it came out unexpectedly. Well, he’s a good guy, even with that bad side of him. Alice? If you’re not careful, he’ll be taken away by another woman.”
I wanted to say, “You just wanted to talk about that after all,” but Alice’s voice interrupted me.
“I’ve never once let my guard down in front of Sora. And I’ve hardly ever seen Sora playing with or talking to a girl, so that’s okay, right?”
That’s like saying I don’t have any girl friends…ah, wait. My heart is aching so much right now.
“Bufu! Sora, you’re being told off. Alice-chan is the one for you!”
Saying that, Shunya pulls my shoulder and makes me switch my standing position and Shunya’s girlfriend, Shiina Sato, stands next to him.
“Hey, Shunya?”
“Calm down, calm down. How’s Sora?”
“I haven’t even talked yet, so what do you think ..?”
“I’m really concerned about Hayaya’s selfishness.”
That’s the only part I really feel bad about. I’m sure you’ve been pushed around a lot, especially since you’re his girlfriend.
“This anguish…do you understand?”
“Aahh… I took him out bowling, but he overslept and showed up an hour late.”
“And the one time I invited him over to my place and he slept over because he was comfortable…”
“We’re both… struggling, aren’t we?”
“Yeah…I think I can get along with you, Kurokawa-kun…”
We both know how bad Shunya is, and although we seem to be on the same page, there is a sense that we are not happy about it. The same thing is true of the other two.
“We’re the same…”
“!?”
I felt Alice jump for a moment.
“Hey, Kurokawa-kun…”
“Sora’s okay. So, what’s the problem?”
“I’m having trouble with some of the math for the end of term.”
“Oh, I’m good at math, so I can help you.”
“Really? Thanks.”
“……”
Alice gave me a terrible, terrible look, but I decided to let it slide.
