Chapter 6: Entrance Ceremony

Perfectly styled hair. A crisp uniform. And the “A.A” badge shining on my right breast! Yep. I could say my grooming was flawless.

Today was my entrance ceremony. Moreover, this school had a 1:1 male-to-female ratio, which was rare in this world! Naturally, I had a desire to flirt with girls, but I also had a craving to just chat about trivial things with male friends. There probably wasn’t a better school to satisfy both of those needs.

Well, while the selection ratio for women was among the highest in Tokyo, the number of male applicants was quite low. Most of the guys who entered were usually those who had failed their entrance exams for all-male schools.

For women, a space where there were as many boys as there were girls was incredibly valuable in this world, where the typical ratio was 1:20. What was demanded of men was size and sperm quality. Academic ability didn’t matter at all.

As I was thinking about such things, the intercom rang. It seemed the bodyguards were going to drive me to school. Apparently, there was an orientation and other explanations before my ceremony. Because of that, my parents and I were leaving the house at different times.

I unlocked the two locks one by one, and when I opened the door, Ayano Kujou-san and Serena-san were standing there.

“Nice to meet you.”

“I am Ayano Kujou. I have been appointed as Tsuyoshi-sama’s exclusive bodyguard.” 

“I am Serena. Likewise.”

Amazing. Standing there were two women ten times more beautiful than the photos I had seen.

“Nice to meet you. I look forward to working with you.”

“Without further ado, let us head to the car. I, Kujou, will be handling the driving today.”

“I’ll be in your care, Kujou-san.”

The two of them guided me to the car, flanking me on both sides. Since Serena-san escorted me so smoothly, I momentarily had the illusion,”Since when did I become a girl?” Kujou-san was in the driver’s seat. I sat in the back seat on the right, with Serena-san sitting next to me.

Since I was bored, I decided to try talking to Serena-san.

It’s okay! If I just take a deep breath, I should be able to talk to even a beautiful woman without a problem!

“Serena-san, you’re from England, right? I was surprised by how good your Japanese is.”

“Thank you very much. As a male bodyguard, I study so that I can speak most of the world’s major languages. I am not very good at pronunciation, though.”

“That’s incredible! What other languages can you speak?”

“Let me see… I can speak French, German, Chinese, and so on. If it is just understanding the content, I can even do Urdu…”

While we were talking about such things, we arrived at the school. I had been here a few times for school briefings, but I still felt nervous entering as a student.

“Tsuyoshi-sama. With the principal’s permission, we will be on standby in the security room inside the school building. If there is an emergency, please press the button on the back of your badge. We will rush to you immediately.”

Just as Kujou-san said, there was a button on the back of the badge. I hadn’t noticed it at all.

“Thank you. Well, I’m off then.”

I thanked them as I closed the door and began walking toward the school building. I could feel incredibly sharp gazes piercing my badge. People were clearly keeping their distance. It was only April. There were very few people my age who had already turned sixteen, and on top of that, I was “A.A.” I knew what to expect, but being stared at by everyone really got to me.

I checked my classroom from the posted notice and started walking.

Let’s see, I’m in 1-2, so…

“3-2, 4-2, Security Room, 1-2. Here it is.”

When I slid open the door to the noisy classroom, everyone’s eyes turned toward me at once. In that instant, the noise vanished, and every gaze was fixed solely on me.

This is reaaaally awkward.

Pretending not to care, I checked my seat on the seating chart on the blackboard and sat down.

Thank goodness, it was in the very back. If it had been in the middle, my body probably wouldn’t have been able to withstand the gazes showering me from all directions and I would have crumbled. The people who came in later didn’t notice the badge, so the noisiness gradually returned to the classroom.

“Alright. Is everyone here? I am Ranko Onizuka, your homeroom teacher. I look forward to working with you for the year.”

A woman wearing a red tracksuit who looked exactly like a PE teacher walked in. She looked like the type to carry a bamboo sword. After that, the teacher gave an explanation of the school, and then it was time for self-introductions.

“Okay, starting with attendance number one, Aizawa Akane!”

“Heeey! I’m Akane Aizawa! My favorite food is oysters! Looking forward to this year!”

A bright blonde gyaru finished her introduction. But this was bad! I was planning on saying my favorite food was oysters, but she took it! While I was thinking I needed to come up with something else, my turn arrived.

“Next, attendance number nineteen. Tsuyoshi Hasegawa!”

“Yes. I am Tsuyoshi Hasegawa. My favorite food is scallops. I look forward to this year.”

Give me some applause at least…

“Alright. Applause! Thank you, Hasegawa. Now, next is attendance number twenty…”

And so, the self-introduction from hell ended. An announcement played, telling us to gather in the gymnasium.

“Alright, time to line up. There are thirty-eight people in this class, so numbers one through eighteen and nineteen through thirty-eight should line up in order to form two rows.”

Everyone stood up and formed two rows. We followed behind the teacher as she led the way.

“Hey, hey! You’re Hasegawa-kun, right? Is that thing on your chest for real!?”

“It’s real. I got it yesterday, so today is the first time I’m wearing it.”

“That’s amazing! Having an A-rank for both… Isn’t that a first in history?!”

My mood had been down until a moment ago, but thanks to the bright gyaru, I felt a lot better. 

Thank you, Aizawa-san.

“Moving on, Class 1-2, homeroom teacher is Onizuka-sensei.”

After Onizuka-sensei bowed, we had been told to bow in pairs when entering the gym, so Aizawa-san and I bowed in sync and followed after Onizuka-sensei. I felt piercing gazes, but I could see my parents, and Kujou-san and Serena-san were watching over me from the gallery, so I felt much more at ease.

The ceremony ended without any problems. When we returned to the classroom after the ceremony, we were dismissed for the day. I called Kujou-san and Serena-san from the security room next door and headed home for the day.

Somehow, I was exhausted today. If days like this continued, I felt like I’d start hating going to school. Kujou-san’s driving was very careful, and I barely felt any swaying even when turning, so I found myself falling asleep before I knew it. I was supposed to have slept with my head resting back, but when I woke up, I was being given a lap pillow by Serena-san.

She smells really good… I want her to do this every day.

The luxury apartment we moved into was twenty stories high, and my parents and I were apparently living on the top floor. Even if the bodyguards were living there too, wasn’t this a bit too spacious? Some floors apparently had a gym and a pool where I could train my body.

This really is incredible treatment. I mean, my sperm quality is just better than other people’s, right? Well, I’ll eat dinner and go to bed right away today. I have school tomorrow, too. Oh, right. Maybe I’ll go for a sperm donation tomorrow?
