A Chance To Rewrite It All - Chapter 17- Everything will be fine

There was no school today and Ryuusuke had a lot of work to do. He had to go and buy the stuff needed to get started with the app development.

However, before that, the first thing he did early in the morning was to take his mother to a hospital. Despite her resistance, saying she was completely fine, Ryuusuke didn’t back off and pulled her to the hospital.

He couldn’t take any chances. There are illnesses in the world that don’t show their symptoms until the person reaches a very dire state. And he didn’t want to repeat his mistake of taking his mother’s health for granted.

In the hospital, after wearing the hospital gown, she was standing outside the room where she would get diagnosed.

Looking at her son, she complained, “These days you are getting a lot stubborn about things, Ryuu.”

The teenager looked unaffected by the look in her eyes and told her, “If it’s about your health then I can go to any length to ensure that you are safe. So yeah, curse me or beat me, I am not dropping this attitude.”

Himiko heaved a sigh and shook her head while covering her forehead with her palm, “When did my precious Ryuusuke become this stern.”

The stern person in question brought his hands on her shoulder and turned her around before urging her, “Now go inside, they are waiting.”

Sobbing, the older one walked in.

Left alone, Ryuusuke took out his phone and told her, “You can come out now, ” Just as he said that, from the corner of the gallery, a beautiful young girl with gem-like oceanic blue eyes appeared and walked towards Ryuusuke hesitantly.

Yuna called Ryuusuke in the morning and got to know that he would be taking his mother to the hospital. That was when she confidently said,

‘I will also come!’ However, after arriving here, the girl lost her courage to meet the lady all of a sudden.

Ryuusuke told her that his mother hadn’t accepted Yuna yet and that she would take some tests to discern if the girl was good for her son. While Ryuusuke knew that his mother was just kidding, Yuna took those words to heart….and was barely able to sleep last night

She was nervous. What if she fails to meet the standards of an ideal daughter-in-law and gets rejected? Ryuusuke loved his mother, so naturally he wouldn’t go against her, right?

That’s why Yuna began searching on the internet to find the best way to impress the mother of the boy she loves.

…she was ashamed to admit that she also searched for the best way to knock someone out cold and how to start living in a new place.

After all…she has to consider the worst-case situation where she would need to take Ryuusuke away with her if his mother actually resists them getting together.

Because of all the negative thoughts, she remained standing away all this time and heard their conversation on the call.

“You are nervous for nothing, Yuna.” As she approached him, Ryuusuke held her hand and assured her, “My mom is really laid-back—she doesn’t have a lot of demands. All she wants is for the girl I choose to care for me and love me. I see both of those qualities in you, so why worry?”

Yuna looked restless as she held his hand and looked at him in anxiety, “But you will never know until you face it, no? Maybe some of my habits, like wanting to be clingy to her son might make her annoyed?”

Ryuusuke raised his brows mischievously, “You want to be clingy? I won’t mind, that’s for sure.”

Yuna’s cheeks adapted a fair red shade as she asked, “R-Right now? I want to but…”

Ryuusuke chuckled, “Don’t worry, I am just messing around.“ Pulling the girl toward the seats by the wall, he told her, “She said she won’t accept our relationship because she wanted me to introduce you to her as soon as possible. Trust me Yuna, you are overthinking this.”

Yuna was feeling a little better as she melted in her seat and rested her head on his shoulder.

Seeing her deflated self, Ryuusuke sighed in admiration. Even like this, she looked adorable.

He wanted a hug. Like right now.

“Come with me…” Yuna was surprised at being suddenly pulled away but she didn’t resist and followed him to the fire exit.

There was no one around as Ryuusuke closed the door, and under Yuna’s confused gaze, he suddenly wrapped his hands around her warm and lithe frame.

Yuna was surprised, but she wouldn’t lie; she needed this hug. A lot more than Ryuusuke.

She leaned in, allowing her weight to be dependent on him as she also wrapped her hands around his back and closed her eyes.

He hugged her a couple of times in these few days, but still felt his heart exhilarating every time he got close to her. Reminding himself again and again that he was back in time and had this beautiful girl belonging to him, makes him elated.

They slowly parted as Ryuusuke looked at the girl tenderly. No words were spoken, as while holding her face, Ryuusuke leaned in and kissed the pretty lady as softly as he could.

This was their first kiss, after his rebirth and he felt so calm kissing her again, that he just enjoyed the sensation of feeling her lips on his.

Their connection didn’t last for long, but for some reason it made Yuna more thrilled than before when he kissed her all the way until she went breathless. His tender approach and the emotions he relayed through the kiss, made her heart accelerate.

Embracing her softly he whispered, “I love you Yuna, and despite whatever happens in the future this fact would never change.”

Yuna couldn’t say anything immediately because she was too thrilled. However, she shares the feelings. She also would never feel anything apart from love for the person she was embracing.

She has always remained away from this strange connection which people often break after a certain period. However, after she herself fell for someone, she was dead sure to maintain it until the end.

As such, she decided, ‘I am going to meet Himiko-san.’
