Volume 10 Chapter 36 Towards the Dead Sea Point Again
“Now, there’s something I need to tell you before we reach the Death Sea Point.”
Three days after leaving Oafuru.
Just a little more and they would reach the Death Sea Point when Ruisha and the others were summoned by Cindy.
“From here on, we’re going recklessly towards the bottom of the sea. Do you understand?”
Ruisha and the others nodded at Cindy’s question.
If there are relics of the brave at the bottom of the sea, they must go and get them. They knew the risks involved.
“If you understand, that’s good. But of course, going to the seabed is not something ordinary for pirates either. There have been precedents, though.”
“There have been,” Ruisha calmly retorted.
Indeed, the fact that there were precedents was more surprising.
“Recently, we haven’t heard such outrageous stories, but it seems that there were quite a few daring pirates in the past. You’ve probably heard stories about treasure sleeping in sunken ships, right?”
Certainly, Ruisha and the others agreed.
“They primarily used two magical tools. One is a magical tool using wind magic stones, creating an air membrane around the ship to prevent water from entering. The other is a gravity manipulation magical tool, used to make the ship heavier and sink into the sea. Any questions?”
“Yes. Even if you create an air membrane, the oxygen inside will still deplete, right? How do you deal with that?”
In response to Ruisha’s question, Cindy smirked and answered.
“Good question. I’ll give you dried meat as a reward. Don’t worry about the oxygen, the ‘Ozone Tree,’ a plant we’ve loaded onto the ship, will take care of it.”
“Ozone Tree?”
Unfamiliar with the term, Ruisha nibbled on the dried meat, pondering.
“The Ozone Tree is a rare plant that only grows at extremely high altitudes. Its strength to withstand any cold is one of its characteristics, but its most outstanding feature is its ‘astonishing photosynthetic ability.’ Just by carrying this plant, the oxygen issue inside the ship is instantly resolved.”
“That’s amazing…! But if we go to the seabed, it’ll be harder for sunlight to reach, right?”
Photosynthesis wouldn’t be possible without sunlight, Ruisha thought, but it was an unnecessary concern.
“Don’t worry. The Ozone Tree can perform photosynthesis even with the light from lamps. As long as there’s a light source, it’s fine.”
Saying this, Cindy began to hand over green solid substances to Ruisha and the others. They were rectangular, about three centimeters in size. When they sniffed it, they could faintly smell grass.
“That’s gum made from Ozone Tree leaves. While chewing it, you can breathe even underwater. It should last for half a day, so I’ll give you five each. And also,”
Next, Cindy handed them a bluish transparent stone. It looked like a gem and was shaped like a droplet, shining beautifully when exposed to sunlight.
“This is ‘Mermaid’s Tear.’ Just one bead and you can survive underwater for three days. If you find yourself thrown into the sea in the deep ocean, drink it immediately. But don’t waste it; it’s ridiculously expensive.”
“U-Understood. We’ll use it carefully.”
Ruisha and the others securely stored what they received from her. They were heading into the deep sea. It was an unknown world for them. The things they just received were their only lifelines in such a world.
“As the captain of this ship, I have an obligation to protect you. So I’ll do my best, but… I also want each of you to protect yourselves. The deep sea has many unknown parts even for me. Anything can happen.”
Ruisha and the others nodded at her words. Seeing this, Cindy smiled satisfactorily.
“It looks like you’re prepared. Well then, let’s go….. Let’s go for our treasure.”
With renewed determination, they headed forward. Towards the distant depths of the ocean, into the azure and pitch-black unknown.

Volume 11 Chapter 1 Diving begins
A clear and calm day for the voyage.
Ruisha and the others had returned to the Death Sea Point once again.
In the eerily calm sea, Ruisha felt a chill. The sea, with no waves or wind, appeared deceptively tranquil, unnaturally quiet. It seemed as if there was nothing alive except for themselves, inducing an illusion.
“Is this the right spot directly below?”
“Ah. I can feel it, the dark and immense ‘will’ beneath this.” Viness answered Cindy’s question.
He believed that there was something connected to the bottom of the sea. Cindy trusted that feeling and used it like dowsing.
“Alright, now that we’ve reached the destination, let’s start preparing for the dive. Men, get to your designated positions!”
“Yo-heave-ho!”
Following the captain’s orders, the crew scurried about the ship.
Unable to stand idly by as he watched them, Ruisha asked Cindy.
“Hey, is there anything I can do?”
“Not really. Just make sure you stay out of the way, quietly in a corner. You’ll have plenty of work to do once we reach the bottom. Make sure to rest up!”
Being turned away, Ruisha reluctantly retreated to a corner. And finally, the moment arrived.
“We’ve folded all the sails!”
“The magic engines can start anytime!”
“The magical tools are fully charged with magic! We’re ready to go, Captain!”
Cindy confirmed that all preparations were complete and gave the departure command.
“Let’s go, you guys! Our destination is where the Pirate King sleeps, full speed ahead to the deep sea!”
With a shushing sound, the Glowblue, carrying Ruisha and the others, began to sink. It would be a desperate situation normally, but the ship had a membrane of air around it. Water wouldn’t come inside.
“Wow, amazing…!”
Ruisha exclaimed at the underwater scenery spreading all around. It was a sight he wouldn’t see if he lived an ordinary life.
The crew members were also impressed by the sight and blew their whistles, but Captain Cindy alone looked at the sight with a stern gaze.
“It’s strange. There are too few fish, no matter how you look at it…”
In the deep blue world, not a single fish could be seen. Cindy, while feeling a strong premonition, descended into the depths of the sea, towards the world of death. At the end of it, she witnessed a truly terrifying sight.
“…Ship Graveyard, you said it well. It’s exactly as the words suggest.”
Spread across the seafloor was a multitude of shipwrecks. From large to small, from different eras, a vast number of sunken ships were strewn across the ocean floor.
And at the center of these sunken ships, within a conspicuously empty space… it was there.
“Cindy, is that…?”
“I know, Ruisha. We’ve finally found it.”
With a smirk, Cindy aimed for that ‘island’ that had been concealed underwater for over a hundred years.
