Volume 10 Chapter 18 Naval Battle
Three pirate ships rapidly approached with tremendous force, swiftly surrounding the Seno Tetis, the ship on which Ruisha and the others were sailing. They aimed numerous cannons on the ship.
“Ga-hahaha! You might’ve fooled us at the harbor, but it won’t be so easy on the open sea, lad! Surrender and accept your fate!”
With a sneer, the pirate known as “Man-Eating Drake” spoke. Ruisha was taken aback by his appearance.
“I never expected them to chase us this far. Mr. Ford and the crew, please evacuate to a safe place if possible. They’re likely after me,” Ruisha said.
“R-Right. Be careful,” Ford replied.
After guiding Ford and the crew to safety within the ship, Ruisha addressed Drake.
“What is your objective, exactly?”
“Heh, isn’t it obvious? Revenge! Pirates are finished once they’re underestimated! I’ll definitely see you die in misery, take everything from you, and ravage it all!”
“…What a guy.”
Feeling the intensity of malice emanating from Drake, Ruisha shivered.
He’s serious. He genuinely intends to kill me. And as he declared, he’ll undoubtedly take the ship, my comrades, and commit heinous acts of brutality.
I’ll never allow that.
“Can I entrust all three of you to defend the ship?” Ruisha asked.
In response, Sharo and the others nodded, indicating their willingness to take on the responsibility.
“Take that guy out, now!”
“Yeah!”
Ruisha entrusted the ship to his companions and jumped towards Drake’s ship.
With enough force to crack the deck, Ruisha leaped, landing safely on Drake’s ship, over a hundred meters away. He faced Drake.
Drake’s subordinates were surprised and stirred by his flashy entrance, but Drake himself showed no signs of surprise. He had evaluated Ruisha’s strength when he fought him.
“Welcome to my beloved ship, the ‘Cruel Dual Square’! Welcome, lad.”
“I don’t intend to stay long. If you promise to never come near us again, we won’t do anything… What will it be?”
“Heh, the answer to that is obvious.”
Drake brandished his broad saber and shouted loudly.
“You all! Tear him apart!”
“”Aye, aye!!””
The pirates followed the captain’s orders and attacked Ruisha.
Each of them wielded a saber, attacking with synchronized movements. However, …
“Move aside!”
Approaching pirates were sent flying with a punch, and they, along with the pirates around them, were blown into the sea. Those who didn’t fall into the sea crashed violently onto the floor, rendering them unable to fight.
Incredibly, with just that single blow, nearly ten pirates were taken out.
“Haha! You’ve got more strength than I imagined, kid. But how long can you keep up that energy?”
Minions streamed out from the ship, pointing the tips of their sabers at Ruisha.
However, Ruisha remained entirely unfazed.
“Do you think you can win if you gather numbers?”
“I don’t think so. Hey, keep firing!”
When Drake gave the order, cannonballs were launched from the cannons attached to the side of the Cruel Dual Square, attacking the Seno Tetis that Sharo and the others were on.
“Oh no…!”
Ruisha hurried to cast magic on the cannonballs, but Drake stood in the way and obstructed him.
“Whoops, I’m your opponent.”
“You’re in the way!”
Ruisha kicked Drake’s protruding belly, but Drake remained in place without being blown away.
“Ouch… you little brat!”
“Gah, I underestimated your attack!”
On the unstable footing of the ship, the fighting power significantly decreased. This was even more pronounced for Ruisha, who had never been on a ship.
However, Drake, who spent most of his life on the sea, had higher combat capabilities on the sea.
“Here, witness your companions becoming sea wreckage!”
“Guh…!”
The released cannonballs arced toward the Seno Tetis.
In the merciless moment of impact—or so it seemed—Sharo, who remained on the ship, reacted.
“Sakura Guard Shield, Aegis Leaf!”
A huge shield in the shape of cherry blossom petals appeared in the air, protecting the ship from the cannonballs.
Subsequently, several more cannonballs were fired, but Sharo managed to block them all.
“Hehe, not a big deal!”
Sharo said proudly while stroking the bracelet fitted on her right arm.
The relic of the hero, “Guardian’s Bracelet, Aegis Ring.”
Embedded with a large pink gem, this bracelet had the effect of creating a shield. It could only be wielded by those possessing the power of a hero. It could create a sturdy shield with minimal magical power.
“Ru! Focus on your fight, don’t worry about us!”
“Heh, that’s reassuring.”
With no more concerns, Ruisha turned his attention back to Drake.
Drake, whose trump card—the cannons—had been neutralized, was visibly anxious.
“Sh- Should we reconcile after all?”
“No negotiations!”
Ruisha clenches his fist and swiftly approaches Drake, aiming a straight punch at his abdomen.
“Qi Technique Offensive Style: Meteor Fist!”
“―――Ugh!”
With a metallic thud, Ruisha’s steel fist penetrates Drake’s abdomen, and he grimaces in agony.
He then follows through, swinging his fist and sending him flying, tumbling across the deck.
“Ha! It worked… nicely.”
“You can still move?… Quite persistent.”
He’ll settle it this time.
Thinking so, he readies his fist again. In that moment, a part of Drake’s ship explodes with a loud noise.
The same sound as when the Seno Tetis was hit. Ruisha thought it was Sharo and the others retaliating, but the explosion came from the opposite direction of where the Seno Tetis was.
In other words… there’s another ship.
“Enemy attack! Ship on the port side! That ship is… Sindbad!”
One of the pirates shouts, and all the pirates react with surprise and commotion.
Even Captain Drake curses, “Seriously, you bastard!”
“What on earth is happening…?”
Ruisha looks at the direction of the gunfire.
Approaching at tremendous speed is a pirate ship flying the Jolly Roger.
Standing at the bow is a woman with distinctive burgundy-colored long hair.
She grins mischievously and murmurs to herself.
“Well then, let the fun battle party begin…!”

Volume 10 Chapter 19 Three-way battle
“Charge in, you rascals!”
“”Aye, aye!””
The mysterious pirate ship rapidly approaches Drake’s ship, and its prow collides fiercely with the side of Drake’s ship.
“Ngh…!”
Creaking and crashing of wood accompany the violent shaking of the ship.
Ruisha draws his Dragon King Sword and manages to stay in place by thrusting it into the floorboards, but several pirates are thrown into the sea unable to withstand the shaking.
Amidst the chaos on the ship, a woman steps down.
Named Sindbad, this woman with fiery burgundy long hair looks out over the ship as the sea breeze tousles her hair.
She appears to be in her early twenties. Tall and with a great figure, she is a very beautiful woman. Thin legs and waist contrasting with a disproportionately large chest and buttocks. She wears revealing clothes that seem to emphasize this.
With a provocative smile, she looks at Drake and speaks.
“It’s been a while, Drake. Are you still up to these petty antics?”
“Shut up, Sindbad! Not everyone can live as cleanly as you. Some people can only survive by swallowing the muck.”
“That’s sophistry. With your abilities, you could have chosen a more respectable path.”
“Shut it! My life is my own! You have no right to criticize me!!! The era where pirates stay honest is over.”
Sindbad unsheathes her saber from her waist and makes her declaration.
“A pirate who has lost their pride is nothing but a criminal. You bastards! Take ’em down!”
With that signal, pirates swarmed onto Drake’s ship from Sinbad’s ship, initiating combat with Drake’s crew. In no time, the ship was overflowing with pirates.
“…For now, I’m safe, right?”
Thinking this might be his chance, Ruisha stealthily moved, attempting to return to Sharo and the others. However, a pirate stood in his way.
“Oops, can’t let you do that!”
This pirate was one of Sinbad’s henchmen. Ruisha didn’t want to fight, as they were not hostile to that faction, but the pirate attacked without discussion, so Ruisha reluctantly struck the pirate with his hand blade.
“Sorry, take this!”
“Argh…!”
The pirate collapsed and fell.
Ruisha moved the pirate to a safe place and was about to leave for good…
“You there, what are you doing to our crew member?”
A person stood in front of Ruisha.
With a saber in the right hand and a flintlock pistol in the left, this person was Sinbad, the leader of the pirates who arrived later.
“…I apologize for harming your comrade, but I’m not your enemy.”
“Sounds like a lie fitting for Drake’s lackey. You’ll have to pay for what you’ve done.”
Saying this, Sinbad attacked.
“So, it’s turning out like this after all!”
Ruisha blocked her strike with the Dragon King Sword. However,
(“It’s heavy…!”)
The force of the attack was heavier than anticipated, causing Ruisha’s body to lift off and fly several meters ahead.
He managed to regain his posture and land, but the arm holding the sword was tingling with numbness due to the unexpected strength.
“Haha! You’re quite something to withstand my attack and still be standing! It’s a shame to leave you with Drake!”
“That’s why I’m telling you, I’m not on their side!”
Ruisha asserted loudly, but Sinbad paid no heed and continued to attack repeatedly. Knowing the weight of her strikes, Ruisha used all his strength to parry the attacks.
Sinbad effortlessly maneuvered on the unstable ship deck, executing graceful steps without any concern for the precarious footing. Shhe unleashed a series of rapid sword flashes, slashing at Ruisha. These attacks were beyond the visibility of an ordinary person, but Ruisha accurately anticipated, evaded, deflected, and blocked them.
“Amazing…”
The pirates who witnessed this otherworldly battle marveled and found themselves mesmerized by the fight.
“By the way, Captain seems to be enjoying herself, doesn’t she?”
“It’s been a while since we’ve faced a strong opponent. We wouldn’t stand a chance.”
“Speaking of which, who’s that young boy? Is he really Drake’s crewmate?”
As many people nervously watched, Sinbad, swinging his sword, spoke to Ruisha.
“I suspected there might be someone up for a challenge from the moment I laid eyes on you, but I didn’t expect it to be this intense! How about it? Why don’t you leave Drake’s crew and join my pirate crew?”
“I’m sorry, but I won’t become a pirate… take this!”
Rejecting the offer, Ruisha thrust sharply. Sinbad elegantly dodged it by flipping backward and skillfully landed on the ship’s railing. Ruisha was impressed by her graceful movement.
“…Who are you exactly? Your strength suggests you’re not an ordinary person.”
“You really don’t know me, huh? Are you truly a pirate? Well, I haven’t made that much of a name in these seas, so not everyone knows me. Alright, as a token of gratitude for entertaining me, I’ll introduce myself!”
Sinbad descended from the railing, stepped powerfully on the ground, and raised her saber, proclaiming her name.
“I am Sinbad! The conqueror of the Seven Seas, who has crossed and dominated them! Proudless pirates who ravage the seas, my proud blade shall strike you down!”
With this declaration, Sinbad’s comrades applauded and cheered with clapping and whistles. Ruisha was genuinely confused if this was still in the midst of battle.
“How about this, is this convincing?”
“…In the end, I still don’t know who you really are.”
“Hmm, I see. Maybe showing you this would have been better?”
Saying that, she flipped open her clothing at the chest. Underneath, she revealed a shining emblem to Ruisha.
“That is…!”
“I told you, didn’t I? The conqueror of the Seven Seas.”
The emblem displayed ancient script that read ‘Seven Sea King.’
Following the Sword King Chrome, she was the second ‘King’ that Ruisha had encountered on the surface.
