“And so, please accompany me in my practice Tetsu-dono.”

“Is it really that important to practice ……”

“Yes, it is. I can’t let the princess suffer any form of embarrassment, ever.”

And so, after school, in an empty classroom, I decided to help Fukuo on his practice for the school festival.

After clearing his throat, Fukuo recited his lines in a high pitched voice.

“Tetsu-dono, please say the princess’s line in return.”

I’ll flip through the script.

The members of the literature club had rewritten the original story, and so, some parts of the story and it’s lines had been changed to fit into the alotted time slot which is less than one hour.

But given that I don’t know the original story in the first place, so I can’t even figure out which parts have been changed. At last, I found out the current scene from the script.

“……『 That’s not true at all 』.”

“Can’t you put a little more feelings into it?”

“Isn’t that alright, it’s just a rehearsal all in all.”

“I can’t afford to embarrass the princess in any way. ……”

“……”

Understanding that I had no other choice, and so, when I said the earlier lines 『 That’s not true at all 』with a little more emotions, Fukuo nodded his head in satisfaction

“『  You’re lying! 』”

“『 No, I can see it. Your pure untainted heart is the most beautiful than anything else. 』”

Lines that would set my teeth on edge if I uttered it, was being practiced by the two men in private. From the outside, it must have seemed like a bizarre scene, but since it was a lifelong request from a Fukuo, it couldn’t be helped.

Or rather, how could his performance be so imposing. Just how much effort are you putting into it.

With this, my time after school was consumed by playing the role of Fukuo’s partner in the upcoming drama. But because of that, I didn’t have to worry about paying for my lunch for sometime as well.

“『 Yes, it is all thanks to you, that I was able to break the witch’s curse after this long. It is only because you saw the truth within my heart. 』”

…… I wonder why I’m starting to memorize these lines when I’m not even in the cast for this drama performance in the first place.
