Lonely Me And The Lonely Caring Goddess - Chapter 132 - Past (3)
I Reincarnated As A Trash Prince
*Clatter clatter clatter*
No one wanted to speak to me.
I also don’t dare speak to anyone.
Human beings are a curious bunch in that they prey on silly rumors.
Yuji told me how they view me now.
○ A vicious stalker who had been following Yuzuha for a long time.
○ A bastard who gets rough with Yuzuha at every opportunity to force her to stay with him.
And they believe I haven’t gone to jail thanks to Yuzuha’s kindness.
○ A convicted felon due to assault on Yamazaki because he did not like that Yamazaki was around Yuzuha.
○ A person under investigation because of his past violence against boys who approaches Yuzuha.
*Chuckle* What are they saying?
Me, a stalker? How old are we again?
Moreover, police involvement? Then what’s next? A court trial?
What childish ideas.
But the real problem was…
“You’ve been a serious pain for a long time. I won’t forgive you following me around, and if you ever do, prepare to get beaten.”
Yuzuha.
Instead, she’s putting oil on the fire and agreeing with the rumors.
And as far as to why she was doing that.
“Yuzuha’s pitiful.”
“It’ll be fine! We’re with you, Yuzuha!”
“Right, right! Avoid that criminal!”
“Let’s go to a nice place next time and cheer up, okay?”
“*Sniff*… everyone… thank you. I won’t lose to him. Thank you for all your encouragement and support.”
And that’s the reason.
In short, Yuzuha made me the bad guy to uplift herself.
She pretended to be an oppressed heroine to be treated well by others.
“Yuzuha, let’s go on a date next week!”
“Really?! I’m in!”
And before I knew it, Yamazaki had started calling Yuzuha by her first name.
Maybe Yamazaki was mocking me, as he looked at me grinningly as he invited Yuzuha.
Of course, I tried to clear things up.
I talked to my friends and explained the situation.
What Yuzuha was doing, and how I’ve been taken advantage of.
But they didn’t believe me as I had no proof.
They must have heard what kind of reason Yamazaki was, but still, they called me a liar.
As a result, the suspicions about me didn’t clear up, and I did that out of jealousy.
——————————————
From that point, I found myself in quite a pickle.
The bared-face lies spread like wildfire to other classes. I was labeled a stalker, a violent person who attacks anyone and bullies other people.
If they hang out around me, the police will label the person as an ‘accomplice.’
The rumors spread fast that they did not even verify whether it was true. They just believed that it was the truth.
Yuji was the only friend I had left. All the others I considered friends left me.
They really believed those rumors, huh? Did they think for a moment if I was the kind of person who would go that far?
As for me, I saw their true nature, and I gave up clearing the misunderstandings with them.
If they’re going to ask for proof to believe me, I don’t want to associate with them too.
Yuzuha’s story was unconditionally accepted, while mine demanded proof.
What is with this absurdity?
“Kazunari, if you wanted to act, just tell me. Don’t try to carry the burden by yourself.”
Yuji was the person who saved me.
Without him, I won’t be able to trust anyone anymore.
At the time, I had yet to learn that Yuji was moving independently, gathering, investigating, and spreading rumors about Yamazaki about his women to lessen the stories about me.
However, talking to someone to believe in me was a futile attempt, and the only thing that Yuji was capable of was spreading bad rumors about Yamazaki.
Ultimately, I chose to stay in class as a last stand.
If my mere presence would be a nuisance, so be it.
I want to do something at least and not run away.
——————————————
One morning, upon entering the classroom, I found Yuzuha crying.
What happened?
Was it related to Yamazaki?
Don’t tell me that… I remembered the conversation between Yamazaki and his lackeys. And I thought that the worst thing had happened.
“Cheer up, Yuzuha~.”
“Two-timing is the worst!”
“Was the rumors true?”
Based on the conversation, it looked like Yamazaki was two-timing… Well, we don’t know how many timing it is.
They found out that the rumor about Yamazaki was true.
Wouldn’t this add credibility to my story?
I know it’s not simple, but I had hoped.
And all of that was a big fat act.
When Yamazaki arrived at school, Yuzuha cried towards Yamazaki, and everyone started making a fuss about how pitiful Yuzuha was.
Yamazaki accepted Yuzuha’s plea to dump the other girl right before Yuzuha.
I don’t want to believe it was calculated, but Yuzuha used the situation too well.
In the end, Yamazaki chooses Yuzuha, calls over the other party, and dumps her in front of Yuzuha. It was a humiliation for the other party.
And the others just looked in awe at how Yamazaki was sincere about Yuzuha.
Ugh, do they have common sense?
Sincere? Really? Are their heads above the clouds?
I am in no position but I felt sorry for the dumped girl.
I can’t imagine what she felt being told that the girl was only a plaything.
But even so, Yamazaki was still believed by others.
He did it once, so there’s probably another in the future.
I don’t know what will happen to Yuzuha, but I don’t care anymore.
It was around this time that Yuzuha started ignoring me.
Specifically, it was because the others also calmed down about the issue.
——————————————
Since Yuzuha had Yamazaki as a boyfriend, she no longer showed interest in me.
I wanted to say that Yuzuha disappeared from my life.
And it got easier for me.
Since Yuzuha and Yamazaki started ignoring me, the whole class followed suit. I was like air, someone that exists without anyone noticing.
It was evident that my parents noticed that something was up at school.
My father asked about it, but I talked with Yuji to keep quiet about it beforehand.
But Father must have discovered something was up since Yuzuha and I had become estranged.
Perhaps it was why he did not object when I requested to change schools, even if it was in another prefecture.
At first, Yuzuha’s mother was confused by Yuzuha’s transformation but accepted it nonetheless.
Her mother also noticed that Yuzuha and I became estranged, and she doesn’t talk with my parents anymore.
The school trip went by with a breeze.
We were told to group up, but they left me alone.
Though, I went wherever I wanted.
It was way better to be alone than a sore thumb in the group.
At school, I never talked to anyone except Yuji.
On holidays, I spend my time alone when Yuji is not around.
After Christmas break, everyone talked excitedly about how Yamazaki’s party went on while I continued studying.
Once I enter high school, I won’t see these low-brained, vulgar, and stupid faces… that was the only thing on my mind as I kept pushing forward.
After passing the high school exam, it was now the graduation ceremony.
Ahh! I wanted to leave and go home as soon as possible. My homeroom teacher’s words just passed from one ear to another.
After being handed the graduation album, I quickly left the classroom.
I had no words for my homeroom teacher and even more for my classmates.
A graduation celebration, or even a second party, I could care less what they wanted to do.
I’ll be leaving home today.
I don’t want to stay in this town, especially with people like this.
Without looking back, I left school with the thoughts of leaving my worst memories of my junior high school years.
